Clueless American Leaders Shocked by Putin’s Attempt to Reassemble Soviet Union

Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney were right …

ObamaClintonPIXBill Clinton in 1994 (and then the Obama administration in 2009, reaffirmed it) gave official diplomatic assurances to Ukraine that their borders would be safe in exchange for the Ukrainians gutting their army and completely doing away with their sizable nuclear deterrent…

In fact, you probably have heard this by now.  Sarah Palin, back in 2008, predicted and warned that Russia was gonna take Ukraine.  She was laughed at.  She was mocked and made fun of because, of course, that was the narrative. Sarah Palin never said was she an expert on the Soviet Union ’cause she could see it from her backyard.  Tina Fey said that in a comedy sketch.  Palin never said it, yet it was attributed to her.

Romney, I remember this in a presidential debate like it was yesterday.  Probably the second debate, Romney is warning of Russia as our number one geopolitical enemy, and Obama is sitting there and mocking him and laughing at him and making fun of him like he can’t believe what he just heard and everybody knows it’s Al-Qaeda.  And look at what’s happening here.  All the people who’ve been insulted as dumb and stupid and idiotic and don’t know what they’re talking about are being borne out.  There were people — I’ll leave myself out of this — there were people eight years ago warning that Putin existed to rebuild the Soviet Union.  The Washington establishment hemmed and hawed and huffed and puffed and laughed, said nothing could be further from the truth.  The best and the brightest had no clue.

ObamaArticleHeadSand1. Obama Foreign Policy: He promises Utopia

So again, here’s this little piece, Washington Post editorial, “For five years, President Obama has led a foreign policy based more on how he thinks the world should operate than on reality. It was a world in which ‘the tide of war is receding’ and the United States could, without much risk, radically reduce the size of its armed forces. Other leaders, in this vision, would behave rationally and in the interest of their people and the world. Invasions, brute force, great-power games and shifting alliances — these were things of the past. Secretary of State John F. Kerry displayed this mindset on ABC’s ‘This Week’ Sunday when he said, of Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine, ‘It’s a 19th century act in the 21st century.'” I highlighted that yesterday about how absolutely inane that is.

So here you have Kerry complaining that Putin is using old-fashioned, infantry type tactics.  And that’s not the kind of world we have anymore.  Doesn’t he know he’s cheating?  He can’t do that.  He’s violating agreements.  And the Washington Post is beside itself now.  Oh, my God.  OMG.  What in the world is happening?  Now that this has found its away into the arena of foreign policy, now all of a sudden the glaring obvious incompetence of this whole Regime is now worrisome.

“Unfortunately, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not received the memo on 21st-century behavior. Neither has China’s president, Xi Jinping, who is engaging in gunboat diplomacy against Japan and the weaker nations of Southeast Asia. Syrian president Bashar al-Assad is waging a very 20th-century war against his own people, sending helicopters to drop exploding barrels full of screws, nails and other shrapnel onto apartment buildings where families cower in basements.”  All of a sudden now it matters.

Toward the end of the editorial, the Post writes, “Military strength, trustworthiness as an ally, staying power in difficult corners of the world such as Afghanistan — these still matter…” Do you know what kind of slice that is?  I mean, that’s right at Obama, because he’s out there saying none of this stuff matters anymore.  We’re not a superpower.  It’s none of our business what these other people around the world are doing.

We’re gonna get out of it! We don’t care!

That is irresponsible and frightening.  Even these people at the Post say, Uh-oh! Oh, no.  “While the United States has been retrenching,” retreating — I’m adding the words — and withdrawing, “the tide of democracy in the world … has been receding. In the long run, that’s harmful to US national security, too.” No kidding!  We are the leader of the free world.  If we get out of it, so will democracy elsewhere.

Ours is a world governed by the aggressive use of force, and it always has been.  It’s not something specific to the Twenty-First Century.  Vladimir Putin’s not doing something that previous Soviet leaders have never done.  The ChiCom leader is not doing something that Mao Tse-tung didn’t do.  There’s nothing here that’s new.  It’s nothing but reality going on here.  We’ve got a fantasyland administration trying to deny that.

These sanctimonious people in the media all of a sudden now see Obama’s nothing but smoke and mirrors.  You want to say that his foreign policy is fantasy misses the point that Obama himself is a fantasy.  It’s just the same fantasy that the Drive-By Media made up and pushed.

The media constructed a fantasy, they plugged Obama into it, and they were off to the races.  It’s kind of infuriating to me.  None of this need be happening, is the point.  Their headline at the Washington Post is, “President Obama’s Foreign Policy is Based on Fantasy.” You have to wonder who hacked them.  This could be a hack.  But to ask whether or not they’ve finally awakened from their long peacenik slumber? No.

It’s just that this reality really matters.  Contraceptives, telling Catholic Church where to go, you know, War on Women, all that other crock and lies and BS to destroy the Republican Party, that’s fine. Whatever it takes to do that, that’s cool.  Whatever lie it takes — whatever distortion, whatever character assassination, whatever tactic is required to destroy the Republicans — we’re in there, and we’ll help you.  But don’t take that act of foreign policy, ’cause it’s serious out there.

Russia justifies its aggression by claiming they are quelling a Nazi movement

Remember: “Nazi” is a shortened term for National Socialism in German. When it comes to freedom, there is not a dime’s worth of difference between Communism (World Socialism) and Nazism (National Socialism). Socialism, Communism, Nazism, etc.—they all result in TYRANNY

The Truth is: Russian doctrine is a mutant of 20th Century Nazism

Lavrov’s rationale for Russia’s aggressive response is based on a change to Russian military doctrine implemented after the 2008 Russian-Georgian conflict that says Russia will send its troops anywhere to defend Russians.

After the 2008 war, Russia issued passports and granted citizenship to ethnic Russians in the captured Georgian provinces of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, both of which Russia later annexed.

The thrust of the doctrine could be interpreted as an open-ended means of committing “legal” aggression, since ethnic Russians occupy all of the independent countries that once comprised the Soviet Union
There are ethnic Russians not only in Ukraine but in all of the Caucasus, Central Asia and in the former Soviet Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, as well as Belarus, Poland and Finland.

muslimobama3. Obama threatens Israel with abandonment

“Israel, why don’t you just do what we Muslims want you to do?”

Israel can expect to face international isolation and possible sanctions from countries and companies across the world if Benjamin Netanyahu fails to endorse a framework agreement with the Palestinians, US President Barack Obama cautioned on Sunday ahead of a meeting with the Israeli prime minister.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Obama stressed that time was running out for Israel to achieve a peace deal, and added that he believed Netanyahu had the capacity to rally Israel’s citizens behind an agreement.

But if Netanyahu “does not believe that a peace deal with the Palestinians is the right thing to do for Israel, then he needs to articulate an alternative approach,” Obama said.

israel_flagWithout getting personal, Netanyahu hits back at Obama

He stressed that Israel backs a diplomatic deal, provided it truly dismantles Iran’s military nuclear capabilities. But he warned, as he has from the same podium in past years, that the Jewish nation “will never be brought to the brink of extinction again” and that he would do “whatever I must do to defend the Jewish state of Israel.”
But whereas Obama had touted Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas as a leader demonstrably “committed to nonviolence and diplomatic efforts to resolve” the conflict, Netanyahu was far more skeptical. He received a standing ovation when he called on the Palestinians to “stop denying history” and urged Abbas to “recognize the Jewish state.” If Abbas would only tell his people of the Jewish nation’s sovereign rights, he could “finally make clear that you are truly prepared to end the conflict. No excuses. No delays. It’s time.”
