Politics Betrayal as usual
1. Republican Leaders Betrayed us with infuriating Budget Deal
Everything Obama wants and then some is in this budget. Raising the debt limit over $1 trillion which takes it off the table as an issue all the way through next year. The budget is also a two-year budget which takes it out of the presidential campaign which makes whoever the next president is, and the next Congress, they’re saddled with this budget. I mean, every budget is technically a one-year budget. I know this, and they can make 10-year projections, five-year, what they’ve actually done here is try to craft a two-year budget.
I was literally infuriated. I have to tell you, folks, I am beyond able to understand the political thinking now of the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives, particularly as it relates to the presidential race. I can’t figure it out. What they are doing makes literally and absolutely no sense. It makes no sense in dollars and cents. It makes no sense budgetarily. It makes no sense politically. They’re not even an opposition party. They’re not even pretending anymore to be an opposition party.
When you look at what they’ve done with this budget — we’ll get into some details — basically all you need to know is whatever Obama wants, he’s got. Whatever Hillary wants, she’s got. Whatever you thought you were voting for in 2010 and 2014, you’ve been lied to, in terms of how your representatives were gonna fight the Democrats, fight spending, fight this constant bloat. We can now officially claim that the Republicans are responsible for five trillion additional new dollars added to the national debt. Spending bills originate in the Congress.
Are they unconcerned about destroying the economy?
Are they so secure in their own existence that they don’t care what happens outside their own lives? Are they set now for the rest of their lives because of the votes that they have secured for big donors? Are they happy that in the places they live there isn’t any unemployment, there isn’t any real difficulty managing the cost of living?
Are they unconcerned about destroying our culture?
Do you have any idea what this budget’s gonna do to our culture? This culture is creating more dependence and more dependence. It’s practically designed to put people on the welfare rolls. It’s practically designed to tell people to stop relying on themselves and look to government for whatever you need or whatever you want. That’s not who we are. But that’s what this budget deal does.
Government will never control itself without citizens demanding action.

The two-year spending deal agreed upon by House GOP leaders and the White House may keep the government up and running, but it represents yet another last-minute band aid on the massive national debt. Once again, our leaders in Washington have made the best political move at the expense of future generations of Americans.
2. Ben Carson on Education
In a recent appearance with Glenn Beck, Carson was asked whether or not he shared the majority view among Republican presidential hopefuls that he thought the Department of Education should be shut down and its responsibilities delegated to the states. Carson assumed a wry smile. “I actually have something I would use the Department of Education to do,” he coyly teased. “It would be to monitor our institutions of higher education for extreme political bias and deny federal funding if it exists.”
This is an atrocious, petty, vindictive proposal that is antithetical to any conservative value. Not only would Carson not dissolve the Department of Education, he would expand its powers; and over free and unfettered speech in private institutions, no less. What’s even more terrifying is that he would have this federal agency target political speech he personally does not like, which is more poisonous than any of the practices in which America’s intellectually homogenous college campuses are presently engaged. By revealing that he would create federal incentives for schools to essentially police speech, Carson made precisely the case for the elimination of the Education Department. What happens when the next Democrat wins the presidency and with it a newly empowered agency with a mandate to punish cultural climates the White House dislikes?
3. Trump: Carson ‘Very, Very Weak On Immigration’
Trump stated of Carson, “he’s very, very weak on immigration, and I’m very strong on immigration.”
He later added, “He believes in amnesty strongly. He believes on citizenship, I mean, he’s going to give citizenship to people that are here illegally, and you can’t do that, and we disagree on things other things also. But, I think the big thing also is, he’s just not going to be able to do deals with China, to do deals with Japan. These countries are ripping us like nobody has ever ripped us before.”
4. Top House Panel Wants IRS Chief John Koskinen Impeached
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee introduced a resolution Tuesday to impeach IRS Commissioner John Koskinen over his actions in the tea party targeting scandal, including providing false information to Congress and the destruction of the emails of former supervisor Lois Lerner.
“Commissioner Koskinen violated the public trust,” Chairman Jason Chaffetz of Utah said. “He failed to comply with a congressionally issued subpoena, documents were destroyed on his watch, and the public was consistently misled.
“Impeachment is the appropriate tool to restore public confidence in the IRS and to protect the institutional interests of Congress,” Chaffetz said. “This action will demonstrate to the American people that the IRS is under repair, and signal that executive branch officials who violate the public trust will be held accountable.”

Chaffetz backed out of running for Speaker to support Ryan when his name came up. I sense something is afoot. The Freedom Caucus is stepping out I believe and I would not be a bit surprised to see Jeff
Sessions as our next majority leader in the Senate either. If this happens we need to make sure NO ONE obama tries to replace him with is confirmed-at all.
5. Obama in Secret Pact with World’s Largest Muslim Country
President Obama says the U.S. and the world’s largest Muslim country will merge their economies under an agreement whose terms have not been disclosed to Congress or the public.
After Obama met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the White House Monday, Widodo said, “Indonesia intends to join the TPP,” referring to the TransPacific Partnership.
Indonesia is the most populous Muslim nation in the world with 250 million people. Obama attended elementary school in the country.
“I have a very personal interest in Indonesia given the fact that I spent time there as a child and have relatives who are Indonesian,” Obama said.
The TPP is a sweeping global regulatory pact. It establishes an international authority that will write rules for merging the U.S. economy with other countries in the partnership.
