History Facts: How Persia became ‘Iran’

History Facts:

How Persia became ‘Iran’

How Persia became” Iran”, forfeiting its rich cultural birthright

In 1935 the Iranian government requested those countries which it had diplomatic relations with, to call Persia “Iran,” which is the name of the country in Persian. The suggestion for the change is said to have come from the Iranian ambassador to Germany, who came under the influence of the Nazis.

Persia or Iran, Persian or Farsi
Ehsan Yarshater

IRANIAN STUDIES, VOL. XXII, No.1, 1989

hitler-muftiIn 1935 the Persian government requested countries with which it had diplomatic relations to call Persia Iran, which is the name of the country in Persian. This was a grievous error based on a misdirected sense of nationalism. The suggestion for the change is said to have come from the Persian ambassador to Germany, who came under the influence of the Nazis. At the time Germany was in the grip of racial fever and cultivated good relations with nations of Aryan blood.

It is said that some German friends of the ambassador persuaded him that, as with the advent of Reza Shah Persia had turned a new leaf in its history and had freed itself from the pernicious influences of Britain and Russia, whose interventions in Persian affairs had practically crippled the country under the Qajars, it was only fitting that the country be called by its own name, Iran. This would not only signal a new beginning and bring home to the world the new era in Persian history, but would also signify the Aryan race of its population, as Iran is a cognate of Aryan and derived from it.

Hitlerjugend.svgFlattered by this view, the government fell into the trap. The Persian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent out a circular to all foreign embassies in Tehran, requesting that the country thenceforth be called Iran. Diplomatic courtesy obliged, and by and by the name Iran began to appear in official correspondence and news items.
At first Iran sounded alien, and many failed to recognize its connection with Persia. Some thought that it was perhaps one of the new countries like Iraq and Jordan carved out of the ruins of the Ottoman Empire, or a country in Africa or Southeast Asia that had just been granted independence; and not a few confused it with Iraq, itself a recent entity. In this way the new name not only failed to convey the racial affinity of Iran with the West let alone the imagined benefits that might result from such an affinity but also, ironically, Iran was taken by most to refer to an Arab or Arabic-speaking country. As time passed and as a number of events, like the Allied invasion of the country in 1941 and the nationalization of the oil industry under Mosaddeq, put the country in the headlines, the name Iran became generally accepted, and Persia fell into comparative disuse, though more slowly in Britain than in the United States.

Who was Cyrus?

cyrus-of-bible               The adoption of the name Iran no doubt undermined the countries cultural reputation and dealt a severe blow to its long-term interests. To educated people everywhere the name Persia is associated with a number of pleasing notions that in the main emphasize the countries cultural heritage. One speaks of Persian art, Persian literature, Persian carpets, Persian miniatures, Persian mosques and Persian gardens, all of which attest to a general refinement of taste and culture. It is true that Persia also brings to the Western mind the Persian wars with Greece, and the home of an absolute monarchy that is often contrasted to Greek democracy; but even then Persia does not evoke the image of a weak or backward country, but rather of a robust and mighty empire.

Its biblical associations are particularly favorable because of Cyrus freeing the Jews from their Babylonian captivity and his assistance in the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem.

Iran, on the other hand, possesses none of these associations. It is a barren word in languages other than Persian, denoting a country without a past or a distinctive culture. In an era in which all countries spend vast resources on presenting favorable images before the world, Persia, on the contrary, has seen to it that it is deprived of all recognition of its rich history.

There are many Iranians in the West who prefer “Persia” and “Persian” as the English names for the country and nationality, similar to the usage of La Perse/persan in French. According to Hooman Majd, the popularity of the term “Persia” among the Persian diaspora stems from the fact that “‘Persia’ connotes a glorious past they would like to be identified with, while ‘Iran’ … says nothing to the world but Islamic fundamentalism.[11]

World News Real Agenda: CNN, Israel, and Hitler

World News Media: What is their Real Agenda? Not the Truth!

keyNews all over the world is heavily biased by political agenda. What is the truth? Why are CNN and other Media turning against and telling lies against our long time ally, Israel? The  charter of Hamas is to eliminate Israel—straight out of Hitler’s “Mein Kampf.”  Why do media pundits agree with Hamas when they call Israel’s Netanyahu another Hitler?  The traditional role of journalism was to be a watchdog of the truth, expose lies and fraud, and guard against tyranny. Now, if you want truth, you must look to journalists who are not sycophants of Obama and Sharia Law. Just because something is on TV, doesn’t mean it’s true.

Truth-Detectors

hamaschildrenunderfireQuoteRUSH:  Okay.  Ladies and gentlemen, I have just been convinced.  I already was.  Let me put it that way.  I have just had the exclamation point attached to my being convinced that the Obama administration has chosen sides, and the side they’ve chosen is Hamas. The administration knows all this.  The administration knows what Hamas is doing.  The administration knows where Hamas is putting its armaments.  The administration knows that Hamas is killing its own children with this behavior, and yet they blame Israel.

CBS and AP:  “A top Israeli official wants President Barack Obama to stop meddling with the Jewish state during its conflict with Hamas in Gaza.  Speaking to Israel’s Army Radio, Housing and Construction Minister Uri Ariel criticized Obama telling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that there should be an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Hamas spokesman, a Nazi himself, Compares Netanyahu to Hitler

Their charter, the Hamas charter, calls for the elimination of Israel, the elimination of the Jews.  It’s right out of Mein Kampf! It’s right out of the Third Reich.  It’s anti-Semitism.  I don’t know… There’s no peace process possible here with that.  Yet I listen to people talk about it from the Regime and from the State Department and it literally is totally dead wrong — and every day totally dead wrong. ~Rush Limbaugh

adolf_hitlermeinkampfRUSH:  Here is Osama Hamdan.  He is the Hamas spokesman, and was interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN’s the Situation Room yesterday, and Wolf Blitzer asked the Hamas spokesman, Osama Hamdan, “Are you deliberately targeting Ben-Gurion International Airport?”

HAMDAN:  What the Palestinians are supposed to do?  To give their, uhhh, names for this Israelis to slaughter them or to trying to defend themselves?  We were expecting that international community will protect the Palestinians from the Israelis, would protect the Palestinians from the mentality of Netanyahu, who lost his morals and his army also — and, ehh, he’s reflecting a new image for Hitler and the Nazist (sic) army.  They are acting in the same way, killing the Palestinians just because they are Palestinians, like what Hitler was doing in the last century.

RUSH:  Alright, now, folks, this has gone beyond absurd now.  Here we have the modern-day Nazis. The Palestinians, Hamas, you name it, are the modern day Nazis where the Jews are concerned.  They are the current incarnation of Adolf Hitler.  It is their total hatred for Jews and their anti-Semitism that defines their existence.  That’s the root of the problem!  It won’t even be stated as such.

You know, whenever there’s anti-Semitism in America, boy, people can’t wait to point it out! They’d love to tar and feather as many anti-Semites as they could. But here you have a whole region full of ’em, and nobody will utter the word that describes the ideology of the Islamic Jihad, which is anti-Semitism. Militant, vicious, bloodthirsty anti-Semitism.  This is now beyond absurd!

Here you have the modern day incarnation of the Nazis accusing the Jewish state of being a “Nazist army,” is what he said.  He meant to say Nazi, or Nazi-ist.  (You have to allow for the speaking of a foreign language.) But this is just absurd. Of course incumbent in this sound bite (impression), “The Israelis are slaughtering! The Israelis are attacking! The Israelis have lost their morals! The Israelis are reflecting a new image of Nazist!”

Real History

And there’s Wolf Blitzer just standing there listening to this? Nodding his head? I didn’t see it, so I don’t know what his reaction was.  But that’s how ridiculous this is.  Ladies and gentlemen, ancient Islamic Jihad leaders such as the old Grand Mufti himself met with the Nazis in World War II.  They knew they held something major in common.

Yet they automatically are granted victim status!

It’s just absurd.

It’s beyond absurd.  It’s incomprehensibly stupid! It ought not be given any recognition. It ought not be given any cognizance. It ought not given time of day, this assertion. But that’s the Hamas spokesman.  So we get a hashtag (sniveling): “#JewsAndArabsRefuseToBeEnemies, please! #JewsAndArabsRefuseToBeEnemies. Man, I really, I’m a good person. Do you see my hashtag? I care. I wish they would all just get along.”

Jerusalem Caller: If Israel Goes, America is Next

israel_flagCALLER:   Having been born in America and having lived in America for many years, I understand very much the American psyche.  But I wanted to share with people, they should understand, this war that’s going on between Israel and Hamas, if one excludes the moral component and just looks at it from a purely personal safety point of view. If, heaven forbid, something were to happen to Israel and we would no longer be here to fight this enemy, the first thing America needs to understand, we are next.  We are the Great Satan and we will have terrorism at our doorstep.  And it’s not only, you know, someone else’s war.  What’s going on at the moment in Gaza, those folks are fighting America’s war, and people need to realize that.  Because, without Israel, heaven forbid —

RUSH:  Elvin, I actually think this is a great point.  The second thing you said first.  People — and I’m gonna include the Obama administration in this since what they do is what matters.  I think they do have a bit of a superiorist view of this, as though this is something taking place way far away, no impact on us really. They don’t even view Israel as an ally. They say that because they have to, but I guarantee you this bunch does not look at it that way.

Israel is a problem.  And I’m not speaking in religious — it’s ideology, folks.  Israel is a problem for John Kerry, I don’t care, pick a liberal Democrat, it’s a problem.  This conflict with Hamas or the Palestinians, however it manifests itself on a day to day basis, it’s over there. It’s a thorn in our side, something they gotta deal with, but they don’t think it has any practical application to the United States at all.

The first point you made, Elvin, he said let’s just take the religious components out of this, just look at it as a war between two sets of human beings.  It is a devastating thing for people on both sides, and it is something that can’t go on, it has to stop, and that Israel is taking on an enemy that also views us the same way.  Israel is the nation daily fighting these people.  And the point is, if Israel loses, forget Jew and Arab, forget liberal, conservative, if Israel loses this, then we are next.

He’s right, we are the Great Satan.  We are despised and hated because it is thought that we make Israel possible.  So it’s not something distant and far away that has no impact on us.  That is why so many of us on our side do not understand why this Regime cannot possibly understand how Israel is an ally of ours.

Israeli Ambassador Calls out CNN Lies

Everything in the Israeli-Hamas Conflict is Backwards!

KerryNetanyahu2RUSH Limbaugh:  All right.  The Israelis have rejected the ceasefire proposal made by the haughty John Kerry, who served in Vietnam.  The Israelis reject ceasefire deal.  The only thing a ceasefire does is allow Hamas to regroup.  I think Hamas is on the ropes and that’s why everybody wants a ceasefire.  I’m telling you, everything over there is ass backwards. Everything in this conflict is 180 degrees out of phase.  They want the ceasefire to give Hamas time to regroup.

“Well, we have to make it fair, Mr. Limbaugh, because the Israelis have such an unfair advantage.  They’re richer and they’re farther advanced than the poor Palestinians and the Hamasians. Well, the Hamasians don’t have anything at all, Mr. Limbaugh, it’s just totally unfair.”  Well, that’s just tough toenails, as far as I’m concerned.  Thank God for Bibi Netanyahu.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  Okay.  As I mentioned a half hour ago, the AP is now reporting that the Israeli security cabinet unanimously rejected Obama and Kerry’s truce plan for Gaza, the ceasefire.  Unilaterally, unanimously rejected it because they know that a ceasefire is only an opportunity for Hamas to rebuild.

Last night on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront she interested the Israeli ambassador to the UN, Ron Dermer.  Now, there’s been all these arguments, all of this pressure on Israel, because they’re just not fair. They’re not telling Hamas early enough that they’re gonna bomb ’em.  When have you ever heard in a war that the person bombing you gives you 20 minutes lead time to get out of the way?  Never, right?

Well, the Israelis are doing this.  They’re sending in little warning bombs that don’t do any damage. They go off, and when that happens you’re supposed to vacate the building ’cause an attack’s coming in like five minutes.

Do remember that time when you were in school and you ended up in the janitor’s office and you found all those surface-to-air missiles hidden in there?  Remember that time?  Yeah, right, because there wasn’t.  Well, they found missiles in schools in the Gaza Strip.  And we played the sound bites on this yesterday.  They gave the missiles back to the police in Gaza, which is Hamas.

So, anyway, there’s been all this reporting about the schools and Israel, and how children are being killed and so forth.  And this ambassador is just livid at CNN for misreporting this.  He was on with Erin Burnett last night.  There’s three sound bites here.

BURNETT:  “What happened here is horrific, and we don’t yet even know the scale of how many children may have died.  Initial reports indicate at least 16 are dead and that this attack had come from Israeli tanks.  The Israeli military said it may have come from Hamas and a rocket which misfired.  Mr. Ambassador, do you know any more at this point?”

DERMER:  No, I don’t know.  But I do know who’s responsible for it, and that’s Hamas, because they’re using schools as weapons depots.  And I think it would be a disservice to your viewers for a reporter from Gaza not to mention that in the last week we had two different UNRRA schools where we had actually rockets found in the schools and handed over to Hamas.  That’s publicly available information.  It’s kind of an important fact for your reporter to mention.  Do you not think that it’s relevant to report on CNN that this secretary general of the United Nations yesterday warned against the use of UN schools and shelter for rocket missile depots of Hamas?

DERMER:  I’ve been listening for two hours of reports on CNN.  I have seen split screens, horrible pictures — horrible pictures that any decent human being would be horrified by.  I have not heard a single person say what I just said to you now, and I think that that does a disservice to your viewers to not give them the context they need to make these judgments.  Hamas is placing missile batteries in schools, in hospitals, in mosques, and there must be outrage by the world at Hamas.

BURNETT:  The reason that we’re showing these pictures [is] because these are dead children.  Would Israel have taken the time to confirm that those children were out of the school before you fired — send someone in to look — or do you think it’s okay that you issued the warning and then just went ahead and fired!

DERMER:  Well, I think you have no basis for making the statement that you just made.  Of course we wouldn’t fire directly.  What I understand is we gave people days to get out of that area. There’s a good chance that it may have been a Hamas rocket that hit it.  I don’t know the facts.  Don’t get me wrong.  I’m not blaming the media for showing the pictures.  What I’m blaming the media is for not connecting the dots.  The dots point to the responsibility of Hamas for using schools as weapons depots and caches for Hamas.  It’s unacceptable, and the outrage of the world has to be turned on Hamas.

 Media Agenda covers up Truth

RUSH: Anyway, I wanted you to hear it because this doesn’t happen much where the media gets called on their absolute… It’s worse than bias.  It’s just a lack of professionalism and everything.  It is bias but it’s worse than that.

Nazi War on Christian Movie

It Takes Courage to Focus on the Family

keyWhen you leave ‘Irreplaceable,’ you hopefully will conclude why I need to be a better dad, a better husband, a better mom, a better wife. I think you will leave the theater having a better understanding and a higher motivation to live the life of a higher calling, of sacrifice, of doing the right things to hopefully place your family in the best possible position to honor God.”~Jim Daly

Note to Millennials not familiar with 20th century history: Many people do not know that “Nazi” stands for National Socialist. Russian socialism was called Communism. Nazism, Fascism, Communism and Socialism are all names for tyranny. Fascism is a relatively new term in today’s society, but it has made a strong comeback from the Hitler era, complete with the same racist (only this time against white Americans) anti-Christian dogma for which everyone hates Hitler. Hence, the use of the word “Nazi” in the title, as everyone is quite familiar with what that means. The name for agents of the Nazi police state was “Gestapo.” Political Correctness has now raised its ugly head in what even some non-violent, more charitable gays refer to as the Gay Gestapo.

Note the nonsensical comments they make, such as “Fair-minded Americans should not tolerate …”

Gay Mafia attacks Focus on the Family

By Drew Zahn

Excerpts from an article for Whistleblower Magazine [World Net Daily]

family3-silhouetteThe Christian organization Focus on the Family is releasing a movie in theaters called “Irreplaceable” about the value of traditional families, the importance of fathers being engaged in their children’s lives and the healing power of forgiveness.

LGBT advocates have launched an effort to disparage the movie online, petition against it and work to make sure “Irreplaceable” isn’t seen in your local theater.

Focus President Jim Daly report in a blog post that some of the more than 700 theaters nationwide scheduled to show the film in a one-night-only event are starting to back out, intimidated by homosexual activists.

“Some of those who disagree with us are calling ‘Irreplaceable’ ‘anti-gay propaganda,’” Daly writes, “and demanding that theaters refuse to show the film.”

Efforts to shut down the movie are being coordinated through Facebook, Twitter and a Change.org petition begun by Shalom Rosenberg, a homosexual middle school teacher from Belmont, California.

“Although Focus on the Family has caused so much harm to so many, this is America and they are allowed to be hateful bigots,” Rosenberg states on his petition. “What is not acceptable is the fact that they are trying to pass this film off as a fair-minded or even ‘feel good’ documentary. This is anti-gay propaganda. Furthermore, it is unacceptable for mainstream theatres to allow this to play at their cineplexes nationwide, as if this were a legitimate film. Fair-minded Americans should not tolerate this kind of deception.”

An advance copy of “Irreplaceable” obtained by Whisleblower [World Net Daily], however, makes almost no reference to homosexuality. Instead, it contrasts the value of committed marriage against society’s rise in easy divorces, out-of-wedlock births and the “hook-up” culture. It follows the journey of New Zealand Focus employee Tim Sisarich on a journey around the world to understand the meaning of family, only to discover a very personal journey into forgiving his own father and becoming the kind of dad his children need.

daddaughter“In our family relationships we’re floundering,” Daly told Whistleblower. “We don’t know what is true; we don’t know what a dad should do. … When you leave ‘Irreplaceable,’ you hopefully will conclude why I need to be a better dad, a better husband, a better mom, a better wife. I think you will leave the theater having a better understanding and a higher motivation to live the life of a higher calling, of sacrifice, of doing the right things to hopefully place your family in the best possible position to honor God.”

“We’ve received word that some theater owners are getting nervous and acquiescing to the demands of those who oppose free speech,” Daly writes. “We heard from one in Ohio just yesterday who decided to drop the film because they had received complaints and didn’t want to deal with all the ‘controversy’ attached to it.

“Ironically, this theater is currently showing ‘Bad Words’—an R-rated movie one reviewer called ‘the best pedophile film of 2014,’” Daly continues. “I can only deduce that this Ohio theater owner believes the views presented in the ‘Bad Words’ movie are acceptable—but the millennia-old concept that marriage is the lifelong union of a man and a woman is not. Is this really where we are as a culture?”

Daly asks Focus on the Family supporters to pray for the film’s success and for those protesting it.

“Most of all, pray that “Irreplaceable” ignites a counter-cultural revolution that inspires husbands and wives to live lives committed to each other, and that moms and dads can see the beauty and worth of their everyday sacrifices as they parent their kids,: Daly concludes. “I believe this heart change can be what God uses to help heal our culture.”

Exclusive: David Kupelian documents shocking wave of totalitarian attacks in America

fascismwndRemember when, a few weeks ago, Newt Gingrich called the forced resignation of Brendan Eich as Mozilla CEO an “open, blatant example of the new fascism”? Charles Krauthammer called it “totalitarian,” Pat Buchanan labeled it “the new blacklist” and RedState headlined it as “a fascist purge.” Even foulmouthed leftist comedian Bill Maher described the perpetrators as the “gay mafia,” while well-known “gay” media personalities condemned it, Andrew Sullivan saying it “disgusts me” and radio talker Tammy Bruce calling out the “gay gestapo.”

As everyone knows, Eich – the tech prodigy who created JavaScript and co-founded Mozilla, maker of the popular Firefox browser – had committed the unpardonable sin of donating, years earlier, $1,000 to California’s Proposition 8 upholding traditional marriage. And when he was forced out as CEO of his company, it seemed everyone was shocked – shocked – at this singularly egregious injustice.

However, in reality, what happened to Brendan Eich – widely denounced as “fascist,” “totalitarian,” “mafia”-like and “gestapo”-like – is not only not unusual in today’s America, it has become a routine and disgraceful part of the normal warp and weft of our daily lives:

1.  Christian Benham Economic Education Program Shut Down

Just last week, HGTV pulled the plug on its highly anticipated new series slated to launch in October, “Flip it Forward,” starring David and Jason Benham. The show promised to provide a true public service in desperate economic times. Hosted by the house-flipping expert Benham brothers, the reality series, says Entertainment Weekly, “would have followed families creating their dream homes from fixer-uppers.” The only problem was, the Benham twins are also Christians with mainstream, traditional Christian beliefs, including a belief that homosexuality and same-sex marriage are neither moral nor biblical. Their show was killed in the cradle, HGTV just announced. Apparently, if you’re a Christian, you don’t deserve to work.

2. Duck Dynasty

Before that there was “Duck Dynasty’s” Phil Robertson, an evangelical Christian, who started a firestorm of protest after he told GQ magazine he believed homosexuality is a sin. The show’s creator, A&E, announced it was indefinitely suspending Robertson from its most lucrative show, until a massive public backlash caused the network to realize its colossal stupidity and it reinstated Robertson.

3.  Chick-fil-A

Media reports that Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy opposed same-sex marriage and donated to traditional-values groups prompted “gay” activists to call for protests and a national boycott, with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel banning Chick-fil-A from the city and several universities barring Chick-fil-A from their campuses. Although the boycott effort backfired in the short term – when “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” and grassroots goodwill resulted in a dramatic increase in the chain’s income – in the longer run, the intimidation had its desired effect: Dan Cathy now says he made a “mistake” and has become “wiser.”

Perhaps part of what weakened his prior resolve was the August 2012 attempted mass-murder attack on the Family Research Council, when an angry homosexual activist named Floyd Lee Corkins entered FRC’s Washington, D.C., headquarters carrying 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches and a 9-mm handgun, shooting a security guard before being overcome by the courageous staffer. After his arrest, Corkins – who told federal investigators (see video below) he was inspired to commit the terror attack on the Christian organization by the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center’s “hate map”– confessed he had planned to “kill as many people as I could … then smear a Chicken-fil-A sandwich on their face.”
Now that’s tolerance for you.

boyscouts4. Boy Scouts of America

And of course, a major win for homosexual activists was the Boy Scouts of America, which they relentlessly pressured year after year, putting enormous financial, legal, boycott and media pressure on the private group until enough members of its governing body finally weakened – and then broke – admitting open homosexuals, in the process essentially destroying the century-old “morally straight,” Christian-inspired organization for boys.

5. Miss California

And don’t forget Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA, who during finals of the Miss USA Pageant was ambushed by homosexual pageant judge Perez Hilton who asked for her opinion of same-sex marriage. Her kind, respectful and utterly normal response – “I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and I believe that it should be between a man and a woman” – was considered so outrageous that the evangelical Christian contestant was widely mocked and ridiculed.

Hitlerjugend.svg‘Cease and desist’ being a Christian

But these high-profile news events are truly just the tip of the iceberg. The exact same sorts of totalitarian “you-aren’t-allowed-to-even-think-that way” assaults are occurring all the time, throughout America. Here are just a few more everyday examples to consider (courtesy of my friend and activist-journalist Peter LaBarbera, founder of Americans for Truth).

Small Businesses Destroyed

6. You probably heard about the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent refusal to review the case of New Mexico Christian photographers Jon and Elaine Huguenin who were sued by two lesbians under the state’s “sexual orientation” law after declining to photograph the lesbians’ “commitment ceremony.”

7.But did you hear about the New Jersey case of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, convicted of “discrimination” after two lesbians, Harriet Bernstein and Luisa Paster, decided to hold their “commitment ceremony” on the Methodist-run association’s popular family friendly boardwalk? After that, Ocean Grove quit the wedding-hosting business.

KJV Bible8. Or what about the Aloha Bed & Breakfast in Hawaii, a Christian business forced to “accommodate” two Southern California lesbians after a judge ruled the B&B violated state law when the owner told Taeko Bufford and Diane Cervelli she wasn’t comfortable having them stay together in her home, due to her religious beliefs? Aloha has since been ordered by the state “to provide a room to any same-sex couple that wishes to stay there.”

9. Or Illinois Christian B&B owners Jim and Beth Walder who, for expressing their religious convictions regarding homosexuality, are being sued by “gay” activist Todd Wathen, who demands monetary damages, attorneys’ fees and “an order directing [the Walders] to cease and desist from any violation” of the state’s Human Rights Act.

10. Or Vermont’s Wildflower Inn, which paid a settlement to lesbians and shut down its wedding reception business after the ACLU won a $10,000 civil penalty for two lesbians. The settlement also requires the inn’s owners to place $20,000 in a charitable trust for the lesbians.

11. What about Oregon’s “Sweet Cakes by Melissa” bakery, which shut down after declining to bake for a “gay wedding”? Or owners of Indiana’s “Just Cookies,” who, for refusing to fill a special order for “rainbow cookies” for an LGBT group, were charged with “discrimination” under the city’s “sexual orientation” law. Or Colorado’s “Masterpiece Cakes,” target of a formal complaint by the state’s attorney general for refusing, on religious grounds, to make a “gay” wedding cake. Or Iowa’s “Victoria’s Cake Cottage,” whose owner Victoria Childress refused to provide a wedding cake for a homosexual couple out of “convictions for their lifestyle.” Or Oregon’s “Fleur Cakes,” which joins “Sweet Cakes” in refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.

12. And what about Washington state’s “Arlene’s Flowers,” whose owner Barronelle Stutzman declined to provide flowers for the wedding of a same-sex couple who had long frequented her shop, because of her “relationship with Jesus Christ”? She now faces two lawsuits. 13. Or New York’s “Liberty Ridge Farm,” which refuses to allow its property to be rented out for a lesbian “wedding.”

14. Or Texas’ “All Occasion Party Place,” a Fort Worth venue that refuses, on religious grounds, to rent out a banquet hall for homosexual “wedding” receptions.

Do I need to keep going?

15. What about Craig James, fired by Fox Sports Southwest after a GOP debate tape showed him expressing Christian beliefs in opposition to “homosexual marriage”? Or the Christian T-shirt maker in Kentucky being targeted by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Human Rights Commission for refusing to print “gay pride” designs for a local homosexual group?

16. What about Chris Penner, owner of the Twilight Room Annex bar in Portland, who was fined $400,000 under the Oregon Equality Act for excluding transsexual men who, dressed as women, had been alienating other customers by using the women’s restroom. According to the Seattle Times, 11 people – calling themselves the “T-girls” – “will get the money, with awards ranging from $20,000 to 50,000.”

Does that sound “totalitarian” or “mafia”-like to you? It does to me.

17. There are mountains of other examples – the Catholic Church being forced to shut down successful adoption agencies in several states because it opposes adoption by homosexual couples;

18. Christians kicked out of college counseling programs because they oppose homosexuality;

19. therapists prohibited by law from helping young people overcome unwanted same-sex attractions;

20.“ex-gay” and pro-change therapists forced out of business by lawsuits;

21. people fired from their jobs solely because they oppose same-sex marriage;

22. school districts forced to positively affirm homosexuality;

23. “anti-gay” 501(c)(3) organizations having their nonprofit status challenged;

24. even a proposal to ban Christians from serving in government if they had ever demonstrated “bias” against homosexuals!

On and on it goes, increasing, not diminishing, with each passing year.

In America today, every serious Christian is a Brendan Eich or a Phil Robertson or the Benham brothers – either now or at some point in the near future.

25. Even me. After publication of my first book, “The Marketing of Evil,” the head research librarian at Ohio State University’s Mansfield campus selected it as one of four books he wanted to recommend as required reading for incoming freshmen.

As a direct result – because chapter one of “The Marketing of Evil” exposes (in gay leaders’ own words) the tactics and techniques they have successfully employed to mainstream homosexuality in America – the librarian, Scott Savage, was brought up on charges of sexual harassment by the university.

Sexual harassment – for recommending a book! That’s how offended and threatened several openly “gay” OSU professors were that a popular conservative book might be read on campus. Although ultimately the university dropped the charges after the Alliance Defending Freedom informed school officials of a little-known document called the Constitution, just consider the “harassment” complaint against Savage – and indirectly, me – coming from one of the openly homosexual accusers, English professor J.F. Buckley:

Rather than waste your time with the paucity of intellectual rigor that Kupelian brings to the table, I encourage you to visit his website, and see for yourself his unmitigated homophobia and xenophobia. In short, he is a pontificating, phobic, cultural atavism bemoaning the loss of an (Anglo) America that only existed on such shows as “The Lone Ranger.” … As a gay man I have long ago realized that the world is full of homophobic, hate-mongers who, of course, say that they are not. So I am not shocked, only deeply saddened – and THREATENED – that such mindless folks are on this great campus. I am ending now, with the hope that I have seriously challenged you Scott, and anyone who “thinks” as you purport to do. You have made me fearful and uneasy being a gay man on this campus. I am, in fact, notifying the OSU-M campus, and Ohio State University in general, that I no longer feel safe doing my job. I am being harassed.

The vicious attack on Scott Savage – a devout and peace-loving Quaker who wouldn’t hurt anyone or anything, who even rode a horse-drawn buggy like the Amish in that part of Ohio – cost him dearly. Though the charges were dropped, he was made so uncomfortable he had to leave the university and lost his main livelihood. Scott was an early Brendan Eich.

‘Just a bunch of brownshirts’

So here’s a question for you: Why on earth can’t the left – including the ever-expanding sexual anarchy movement – simply tolerate the most basic exercise of First Amendment freedom of speech and freedom of religion? Why are they so deeply offended, so mortally threatened, by people simply disagreeing with them, no matter how civil and well-meaning?

To understand the answer to that question is to understand the very core of the “civil war” currently engulfing America.

Here’s how I explain it in “The Marketing of Evil” – which, come to think of it, may explain why the “gay professors” demanded it be expelled from school:

Where and when will this “gay rights” steamroller stop? The end game is not only to bring about the complete acceptance of homosexuality, including same-sex marriage, but also to prohibit and even criminalize open criticism of it, including the quotation of biblical passages disapproving of homosexuality. In other words, total “jamming” of criticism with the force of law.

“Why?” you might ask. “I thought gays just wanted equal rights, and to be free to do what they want in their own bedrooms.” No, they’ve had that for years.

Their campaign will not end until Christians and other traditionalists opposing homosexuality are shut up, discredited and utterly silenced – and all because of a little factor we’ve forgotten about in our cleverness, namely this:

In truth, there is something wrong with homosexuality.

It is immoral, unnatural, perverted, self-destructive – all the negative descriptive terms Western Civilization has applied to it over the centuries.

Homosexual activists fancy their cause as identical to that of blacks during the ’60s Civil Rights Movement. But being black is not a sin. Being of African origin doesn’t involve running away from one’s own conscience, and the author of that conscience – God.

But it is precisely because of this difference that the “gay civil rights” movement is not about changing the laws so homosexuals can have equal opportunity for advancement or access as it was for blacks during the ’60s. Homosexuals already live in freedom, and can reside, work or play virtually anywhere they want. In fact, as a group homosexuals enjoy a higher income level than the general American population.

It’s not about rights. It’s about redefining truth and censoring all criticism so that militant homosexuals can be comfortable in their “lifestyle” without having to be disturbed by reality.

Remember, all of us, homosexuals included, have a conscience –

compass liahonaRemember, all of us, homosexuals included, have a consciencethat other-dimensional standard that God has tucked away inside each of us, and which causes us inner conflict when we’re doing the wrong thing. But if we tumble into the grip of dark forces we don’t understand, and then start to defend our obsessions and compulsions, we inevitably come to regard our conscience as an enemy. And although we may be somewhat successful in drowning out that inner warning bell, what happens when this same rejected conscience factor appears in another person and gets too close to us for comfort? We feel threatened.

Therefore, we feel compelled to silence the “voice of conscience” – not just the one inside of us, but the one in other people, which tends to revive our own conscience with which we’re at war. This means we can’t tolerate dissent. We simply can’t stand it. It makes us want to scream.

To the homosexual living in denial, then, even a loving offer of help from, say, a Christian ex-gay ministry or “reparative therapy” counselor (to help overcome homosexual addiction) feels like the most vile, abusive hatred. In fact, it’s real love – which we misinterpret as hatred and “bigotry” simply because it causes us to confront a truth that is not welcome in us.

Rush Limbaugh, reflecting on Eich’s ouster, describes in somewhat harsher tones the same troubling reality traditional-minded Americans now face:

Hitleryouth“These people, they claim that all this is how they are inclusive and this is how they’re promoting diversity – and they’re not. They are exclusionary. There’s no diversity tolerated here. You’ve gotta be one way. There is no openness.

“There is no kindness, there is no compassion, there’s no inclusiveness, and there certainly isn’t any diversity on the left. It’s just a bunch of brownshirts. And if you are not wearing one, you either soon will be, or you’re gonna be ruined. There is no dissent. They have no interest in debating anybody. They have no interest in discussing anything. If you disagree with them, you die – figuratively. You’re dead. You don’t exist.”

Any questions?

World War 2 facts: Terrorism and Fear

A Warning from History

A German’s View on Islam – worth reading.   This is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read.   His references to past history are accurate and clear.   Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read.   The author of this message is Dr. Emanuel Tanya, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist.
A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates.    When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.

muslimobama‘Very few people were true Nazis,’ he said, ‘but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care.   I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools.    So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen.   Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come.   My family lost everything.   I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.’

We are told again and again by ‘experts’ and ‘talking heads’ that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace.   Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant.    It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.
The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.   It is the fanatics who march.    It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide.    It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave.   It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill.   It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque.   It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals.   It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.

The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the ‘silent majority,’ is cowed and extraneous.
Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people.    The peaceful majority were irrelevant.. China ‘s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist.    Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.

And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery.   Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were ‘peace loving’?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.
Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because like my friend from Germany , they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun..

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.
As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts–the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just ignores this message without sharing it, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand.   So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on!
Let us hope that thousands, world-wide, read this and think about it, and send it on – before it’s too late.

Now Islamic prayers have been introduced into Toronto and other public schools in Ontario, and, yes, in Ottawa too while the Lord’s Prayer was removed (due to being so offensive?).   The Islamic way may be peaceful for the time being in our country until the fanatics move in. [Islamic prayers are also tolerated in Michigan, but not Christian prayers]

And we are silent…….
