This is a sharp change from President Obama, who encouraged massive Muslim immigration from these another Islamic nations while at the same excluding persecuted Christians.
President Trump is expected to sign an executive order blocking Syria, plus six other Muslim majority nations, from getting visas until the scrutiny process is changed. However, a huge exception is being made for “persecuted religious miniories,” which includes the persecuted Christians of these nations:
Donald Trump is expected to block all refugees from Syria and six other Middle Eastern and African countries on Wednesday.
Religious minorities escaping persecution will escape the ban which will last for several months, it is thought, until more aggressive vetting is in place.
Executive orders expected to be signed on Wednesday will block visas being issued to anyone from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, said aides and immigration experts close to the White House, according to Reuters
The Republican president, who took office last Friday, was expected to sign the first of the orders at the Department of Homeland Security, whose responsibilities include immigration and border security.
On the campaign trail, Trump initially proposed a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States, which he said would protect Americans from jihadist attacks.
Both Trump and his nominee for attorney general, Senator Jeff Sessions, have since said they would focus the restrictions on countries whose migrants could pose a threat, rather than a ban on those of a specific religion.
Many Trump supporters decried former President Barack Obama’s decision to increase the number of Syrian refugees admitted to the United States over fears that those fleeing the country’s civil war would carry out attacks.
Thank you, President Trump. The Obama rush of $221,000,000 to jihad terror organization will fund Jew-killing. Obama’s parting gift to the Jews.
To the very last minute, Obama was aiding, abetting and arming Islamic enemies of freedom. He released $221 million to the Palestinians in his administration’s last hours. Officials say outgoing administration defied GOP opposition and sent funds to PA that had been blocked in Congress.
The Muslim leaders of “Palestinian Authority” exhort Muslims living in Gaza, Judea and Samaria to kill Jews and attack the Jewish state. They glorify murder and reward terrorists and their families, and indoctrinate their young to grow up to be homicide/suicide bombers. These funds will be used to slaughter, maim and destroy.
“State Department freezes Obama’s $221m gift to Palestinians,” World Israel News, January 25, 2017:
The Trump administration has frozen Obama’s parting gift to the the Palestinians.
Former US President Barack Obama, in his waning hours, quietly released $221 million to the Palestinian Authority (PA), which Congress had been blocking.
The State Department is reviewing the last-minute decision by former Secretary of State John Kerry to send $221 million dollars to the Palestinians.
Kerry formally notified Congress that State would release the money Friday morning, just hours before President Donald Trump took the oath of office.
The funds — supposedly intended for reconstruction in Gaza and good governance programs for the Palestinian Authority — were being blocked by at least two Republican lawmakers— Ed Royce (R-CA), the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Kay Granger (R-TX), who sits on the House Appropriations Committee — in response to Palestinian attempts to join international organizations, from which it intended to launch more international campaigns against Israel and before a peace deal with Israel.
Such holds are generally respected but are not legally binding.
When asked about the transfer by a reporter during Tuesday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that “[Trump] is very concerned about how taxpayer money is spent, whether it’s sent overseas and what we get for it in terms of the relationship or our support for a democracy or aid to another country for their defenses. But he’s going to be examining all aspects of the budget… He’s going to make sure that every deal, every dollar that is spent by the government is done in a way that respects the American taxpayer.”

“Asked about the state of the nation over the past eight years, Americans say the U.S. gained ground in four of 19 policy domains, and they say it lost ground on 14 and held steady on one,” said the Gallup press statement, which highlighted factors deemed favorable to Obama.
The public sees “the biggest setbacks on the federal debt, crime, the gap between the rich and the poor, and race relations,” Gallup admitted. Those grades were, respectively, minus 36 percent, minus 35 percent, minus 34 percent, and minus 27 percent for “race relations,” Gallup acknowledged. Obama also scored minus 7 percent when Americans were asked about the “situation for blacks.”
Overall, the public graded Obama’s accomplishments as a minus 9 percent rating in the survey, which was taken Jan 2 to Jan. 3.
The survey highlights the public’s ambivalent attitude towards Obama, who also gets a 57 percent approval rate from Gallup’s surveys.
In part, the public wants to like Obama, and tends to like his apparently cheerful demeanor — yet is deeply divided about the merit and effectiveness of his actual policies. For example, the public’s view of healthcare is a wash, despite Obama’s huge push for his Obamacare expansion of federal power over the healthcare sector.
Awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to President Barack Obama in 2009 was an experiment to encourage the newly elected Democrat to follow through on his lofty promises, according to at least one former member of the Nobel committee. But apparently, that was a failed experiment.
A regretful Geir Lundestad, onetime secretary of the Nobel committee, told the Associated Press that he hoped the award would strengthen Obama. But it didn’t, according to the group, despite the White House’s belief that the president “lived up to the standard that he has set for himself” regarding the prize.
Instead of being an encouraging sign, the award was met with palpable indignation, particularly among conservatives who believed Obama should have done something rather than spoken something to receive the lofty prize.
“No Nobel Peace Prize ever elicited more attention than the 2009 prize to Barack Obama,” Lundestad, who is working on his memoir, reportedly wrote in the forthcoming book. “Even many of Obama’s supporters believed that the prize was a mistake. In that sense, the committee didn’t achieve what it had hoped for.”
The ex-secretary said even the president himself was surprised to win the award. Lundestad noted that Obama considered not going to Oslo, Norway’s capital city, to receive the Nobel prize.
“In the White House, they quickly realized that they needed to travel to Oslo,” he wrote.
Lundestad, who served as the group’s influential but non-voting secretary from 1990 to 2015, broke with long-held tradition in coming forward with his disappointments surrounding the committee’s controversial decision to grant the award to the president.

TEL AVIV – A member of the Israeli cabinet on Wednesday slammed the countries that supported the anti-settlement resolution at the UN Security Council, saying that Israel was betrayed by the very nations that asked it for assistance in fighting terror.
“Countries to which Israel has been providing intelligence to aid them in preventing terrorist attacks on their own soil sat there and voted against us at the UNSC,” Transportation, Intelligence and Atomic Energy Minister Yisrael Katz said.
Some lawmakers from the opposition defended the resolution, which declares all land captured by Israel in the 1967 defensive war as “occupied Palestinian territory.”
Zionist Union MK Tzipi Livni blasted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his harsh response towards countries that supported the resolution, including threats to cease aid and the summoning of 12 ambassadors for reprimand.
“In the sea of curses that the Netanyahu government is hurling at the world, it is our job to distill the truth,” Livni said. “The entire world is not against the State of Israel, but rather against the settlement policy of the Israeli government. In times of war against enemies, we will stand by the government’s side, but we will not stand beside a government that turns our friends into enemies through its policies.”
Livni added that in the past, when she was part of negotiations with the Palestinians, the Western Wall was always going to stay within Israel’s sovereign territory.
“Now with Netanyahu acting [against] the UN, the Western Wall has come up for dispute,” she said.
Leader of the settler movement Oded Revivi said Secretary of State John Kerry was “disconnected from reality.”
“John Kerry is a stain on American foreign policy who is ignorant of the issues. He has chosen to eternalize his legacy as the worst secretary of state in history who chose to stab his closest ally in the back while rivers of blood flowed like water across the Middle East. I can personally attest to the fact that he knows very little about the realities in Judea and Samaria [i.e. the West Bank] and instead chooses to defame us from afar by repeating fictitious mantras against us.”
“Our rights to this land are fully legal and cannot be refuted; this is the reason that proclamations are being made instead providing solid legal arguments against us. Nearly half a million Israelis currently reside on the strategic highlands of Judea and Samaria overlooking 70 percent of Israel’s population and industrial base; no amount of speeches or resolutions can reverse this reality,” he added.
Kerry delivered a speech on Wednesday outlining his vision for a Palestinian state based on the 1967 lines.
Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely said Kerry’s parameters were unrealistic.
“The formula proposed by Secretary Kerry is impossible and does not correspond with reality. For 25 years Israel tried similar formulae but instead of peace we got islands of terror,” she said.
