#MyUnintendedJoy: Americans Show Why They Choose Life Over Abortion

Dr. Susan Berry

pro-life-baby-not-abortionThe hashtag #MyUnintendedJoy is trending on Twitter prior to Friday’s March for Life, as women faced with unplanned or complicated pregnancies are Tweeting their stories showing why they chose life over abortion.

The Federalist’s Bre Payton highlights the hashtag and draws attention to “the women and children the abortion industry doesn’t want you to know about.”

The March for Life is the world’s largest pro-life demonstration and will be held Friday, January 27, on the national mall in Washington, D.C.

Here are some of the stories about the babies who were born because their mothers and fathers chose life, despite the recommendations of doctors and other family members and friends to abort:

Pro-Life Leaders Applaud Choice of Rep. Tom Price as HHS Nominee

National pro-life leaders are applauding President-elect Donald Trump’s pick of Republican Rep. Tom Price of Georgia for secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

“Chairman Price, a renowned physician, has earned a reputation for being a tireless problem solver and the go-to expert on healthcare policy, making him the ideal choice to serve in this capacity,” Trump said in a statement. “He is exceptionally qualified to shepherd our commitment to repeal and replace Obamacare and bring affordable and accessible healthcare to every American. I am proud to nominate him as Secretary of Health and Human Services.”

abortion3-pro-lifePrice, who has a 100 percent pro-life voting record, will likely not only play a major role in the repeal and replacement of Obamacare, but also in the redirection of taxpayer funds to health centers that do not perform abortions.

Brent Bozell, founder of the Media Research Center (MRC) released the following statement on Price’s nomination:

The appointment of Rep. Tom Price as Secretary of Health and Human Services is yet another excellent cabinet choice by President-elect Trump. Trump seems absolutely committed to honoring his pro-life commitments by selecting a man with a 100% pro-life record…And in choosing a pro-life cabinet member, Trump has disrupted the liberal media’s pro-abortion agenda, their single most important issue.

Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser also commented:

Representative Tom Price is an excellent choice for Secretary of Health and Human Services. He has a 100 percent pro-life record and is well positioned to champion truly comprehensive health care. He helped lead the charge to defund Planned Parenthood through budget reconciliation, setting the stage for President-elect Trump and a pro-life Congress to reallocate those funds to support comprehensive women’s healthcare. As HHS Secretary, he will play a key role in developing a robust health care reform proposal that protects life and consciences, while promoting options for low-income individuals and families.

stop-abortionSimilarly, Ashley McGuire, senior fellow with The Catholic Association, released the following statement:

President-elect Trump has made an excellent choice in Rep. Price as Secretary of HHS. In particular, Rep. Price’s strong pro-life values and record to match make him the right man to reform an agency that has been marred by its aggressive abortion agenda. The Department of HHS caused the largest religious liberty class-action lawsuit in American history when it tried to force religious employers and charities like the Little Sisters of the Poor to pay for and provide things like abortion pills in their healthcare plans. We are confident that Rep. Price will finally put an end to the anti-religious liberty HHS mandate, as well as introduce comprehensive reforms to restore the agency as one that genuinely promotes healthcare that respects human life and dignity.

Abortion chain Planned Parenthood and its CEO Cecile Richards, however, are denouncing the choice.

Dr. Ben Carson Condemns Pro-Life, Pro-Lifers Return the Favor

Austin Ruse

Pro-Life leaders are furious with presidential hopeful Dr. Ben Carson for his comments yesterday that pro-life rhetoric is partially responsible for the shootings that took place in Colorado last week.

On CBS’s Face the Nation Sunday morning, Carson said, “Hateful rhetoric exacerbates the situation…You don’t ever solve them [problems] with hateful rhetoric. Both sides should tone down the rhetoric and engage in civil discussion.”

Carson’s Moral Relativism

ben-carsonOn ABC’s This Week Carson said, “There’s a lot of extremism coming from all areas. We get into our separate corners and we hate each other, we want to destroy those with whom we disagree.”

In exclusive interviews with Breitbart News, a number of national pro-life leaders condemned Carson’s statements.

Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue and a board member at the Center for Medical Progress, said, “Doctor Carson just ended his presidential candidacy.”

Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of American, that has 700 chapters on college campuses around the country, says:

Did Carson take his talking points from Planned Parenthood? He completely missed the mark, casting suspicion on pro-lifers who had nothing to do with this tragedy and only furthering the deceitful narrative that the abortion industry has already laid out in the media. Compassion and love, not violence, are at the heart of the pro-life movement and motivate us to protect life in its stages and we extend that same love and compassion to the victims and their families of this horrible tragedy.

abortion3-pro-lifeWe can never tone down calling the killing of innocent children what it is. Abortion is nothing short of an act of homicide and until we can bring it to an end pro-lifers must not tone done anything but actually stand stronger than ever before.

We must stand against any act of violence including gun violence, terrorism violence, domestic violence or abortion violence. Killing any innocent person is an act of violence including those in the womb and for that reason we must speak louder and louder until that violence is ended.

Moral Relativism vs.  Right and Wrong

The fact that one person may have committed a horrific act of violence at an abortion mill does not change the fact that the abortion mill commits equally horrific acts of violence everyday and we will speak out against those acts also.

Ryan Bomberger, founder of the Radiance Foundation, says:

PC-TruthPro-abortion activists consider any scientifically, historically, or statistically accurate information about the violence of abortion to be ‘hateful rhetoric’. Facts are not hate speech, Dr. Carson. Exposing the inner-workings of Planned Parenthood in an undercover investigation isn’t ‘hateful rhetoric’; it enables illuminating and civil discussion about inhumane barbarity.

This is not the first time that Carson has said something that has angered the pro-life community. Just last month he said the fight to save the live of Terry Schiavo was “much ado about nothing.” Schiavo was the Florida woman who was allowed to starve to death because she was considered to be in a persistent vegetative state. Her case was a rallying point for the national pro-life movement.

Given that Carson is relying on evangelical support, his recent comments can only work against him in the crucial upcoming vote in the Iowa caucuses.

National Pro-Life Alliance: Stop the Death and Violence of

Abortion

I had the pleasure of seeing the sonogram of my friend’s baby when it was only a few weeks old. How awesome and heart-warming to see the facial features and tiny hands and feet of that little one. How can pro-abortion activists continue to deny the truth? ~C.A. Davidson

If the anti-gun crowd is really against violent deaths, why do they champion abortion? ~fideux, (an intelligent comment found on the internet)

One out of every four babies conceived is a victim of abortion., a tragedy that has claimed more than 56 million innocent lives since the Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion-on-demand.

The American people oppose abortion-on-demand and want innocent life to be protected, especially when it is most defenseless.

As early as five weeks, unborn babies have an audible heartbeat and recognizable features, yet abortionists hide what the visible evidence shows—that there is a baby and not a mere lump of cells.

Studies show that up to 90% of women who see the sonogram and

hear the heartbeat of their baby in utero choose against abortion.
