History Facts: Democrat Party and Slavery

Rush Limbaugh Radio

slavery-democrat-thingRUSH:  They’re taking the pole down now in South Carolina.  They’ve got this crane in there and they’re ripping the pole that held the Confederate flag that flew there.  They’re ripping the pole out of the ground.  Man, I would not want to be that pole.  Can you imagine what they’re going to do to that pole, because I don’t think that pole is going to go to the museum.  The flag is already there.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, forgive me, please. I hear what people say and as the mayor of Realville, I apply real meaning and what I think is their real meaning, and react accordingly.  And I’m here to tell you that I am liberated from the past.  I am not living in the past.  I think it’s these people who are.  By definition!  Who is it that can’t let go of the past?  We are on the verge, here… We’ve got the president of the United States and a dangerously incompetent Secretary of State on the verge of okaying the state sponsor of terrorism in the world getting nuclear weapons.

That’s the future.

That’s tomorrow.

We’re not even worried about it!

Gone-With-wind-liberal-democrats-pastTalk about being liberated from the past.  This Confederate flag stuff is in the past.  I don’t know about anybody else,  but I’m not living in the past.  I have been liberated from it, and I think most people have.  I think the problem here is there are a lot of people that just are having a lot of trouble liberating themselves from their own minds.  How many people do we know that are still living as though it’s still 1964?  How many people in the Civil Rights Movement run around actually believing there’s still slavery in this country and acting on it?

That’s the impression I get listening to a lot of people.

You’d think this was 1830.  You would think this is not 2015.  You would think maybe it’s 1962 and we’re on the verge of the Civil Rights Act, but we’re not there yet.  I’m sorry, folks, it’s not you and me living in the past.  We have been liberated from the past.  I think some of these people cannot liberate from their own minds.  This is… (sigh) That’s just one thing.  Here, I’ll give you another example, from the DC Examiner.

“Late Tuesday, the Memphis, Tennessee, City Council voted unanimously to dig up the remains of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest and his wife, Talking Points Memo reported Wednesday. The council also voted to remove a statue placed in Forrest’s honor. The move came after Mayor A.C. Wharton called for the bodies to be dug up and relocated. Tuesday’s vote is not the end of the story, however. According to WREG, the Chancery Court would also have to approve the removal of the remains and Forrest’s family would also be involved in the decision.

“Forrest and his wife are currently buried beneath a statute honoring the general in a park which had been named after him until two years ago. The park is now known as Memphis’ Health Sciences Park. Officials with Elmwood Cemetery — the location of Forrest’s original resting place — said they would be willing to help move the remains but said they did not want to become the new home of the statue.

“It is not known where the statue would go if the Tennessee Historic Commission approves its removal. The commission is not set to meet before October. …  The move to relocate Forrest is part of what many now see as a Stalinist effort to purge US history after the tragic shooting in a Charleston, South Carolina church that left nine dead.” Now that’s from the Examiner’s story: The move to remove this is a “Stalinist purge.” Some people think that.

I just think, again, here’s an example of people unable to let go of the past, unable to let go of their own minds.  Where is the…? One more here.  Now, there’s one more here about some people upset with Thomas Jefferson wanting to do something regarding him.  I thought I had it next. I have to find it because up next I have sanctuary city stuff.  Nope, I already did it.  It was the Connecticut Democrat leader debate condemning Thomas Jefferson as a racist.

RUSH:  Okay.  Let me guess, folks. Some of you, when you heard me mention the name Nathan Bedford Forrest, it rang a bell.  You couldn’t quite place it, but you had heard the name.  Right?  And then when I said southern general, Confederate general. “Oh, yeah, yeah.” Let me tell you about Nathan Bedford Forrest.  See, they already in Memphis renamed the name of the park, but now they’re going to remove the bones and his poor wife (whose name still hasn’t appeared in the story).  But Nathan Bedford Forrest was a Democrat.

truth-vs-liesHe was such a prominent Democrat, such a radical Democrat, he helped found the Ku Klux Klan.  Now, who do you think honored this guy in the first place?  Democrats!  It wasn’t a bunch of Republicans that built statues and flag poles and memorials to this guy.  Who did it?  It was Democrats! I’m going to tell you something else, folks. All of this is pee pee, caca, doo-dooI’m not going to believe that the Democrats are serious about removing the scourge of the past until they rename everything in Virginia named after Robert W. Byrd because you should see the name of things that are named after Robert W. Byrd in West Virginia.

It would take you I don’t know how many pieces of paper to list everything.  The highways, the rest areas, the junkyards, the buildings, the parks. It is embarrassing the number of places in West Virginia which are named after Robert W. Byrd who was a grand kleagle and a Klingon or some such thing in the Ku Klux Klan.  Well, he was!  I don’t see anybody making a mad dash to dig him up and move him somewhere else and to strip his names off everything.

I mean, the federal buildings in that state?  Every damn one of them practically is named after him.  The highways, the turnpikes, the thoroughfares, the back streets, the back alleys.  He was a Democrat majority leader of the Senate was considered the dean of the Senate. He was the grand Klingon of the Ku Klux Klan for crying out loud!  They can talk about the Confederate flag all they want.  Bill Clinton is out there (impression), “I almost started when I saw that flag come down.” He raised the  thing in Arkansas, in memory of his mentor J. William Fulbright, also a segregationist senator!

An unrepentant segregationist.  This is such caca folks.  At the end of the day, you get John Lewis in there and all these other people and the impression they’re leaving is that the Republicans suffer another big defeat today as the Confederate flag is removed in South Carolina.  The Republicans have nothing to do with putting the Confederate flag up.  And the Republicans had nothing to do with everything in West Virginia being named after Robert Byrd.  Now, Robert Byrd, apparently he can apologize for his past and be forgiven.

But Nathan Bedford Forrest was not forgiven.  And Nathan Bedford Forrest, by the way, in his later years, pushed very hard for the past to be forgiven and reconciliation of black and white races take place. But that didn’t seem to matter.  Whatever Byrd was, Klingon, kleagle, klaxon, whatever he was, he was the recruiter and “exalted cyclops” of the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan.

A History Lesson for Governor Christie on the Constitution and Compromises

Rush Limbaugh Radio

Christie-Compromise-liberal-slaveryCHRISTIE: (shouting) Both parties… Both parties have failed our country! Both parties have stood in the corner and held their breath and waited to get their own way. Both parties have led us to believe that in America — a country that was built on compromise — that somehow now compromise is a dirty word.  If Washington and Adams and Jefferson believed compromise was a dirty word, we’d still be under the crown of England!

RUSH:  So here we go.  It’s the latest push for compromise.  “The American people are not mad.  They’re anxious and they want compromise; they want people working together.  How many of you believe liberals and Democrats are failing?  Governor Christie said here, “Both parties have failed our country. Both parties have stood in the corner and held their breath, like children, and waited to get their own way.” Do the Democrats strike you as standing in the corner, pouting because they don’t get their own way?  Are they really thinking that they have failed?  I’m talking about the Democrats, now.  When you look at what’s happening in Washington, is it really paralyzed?  Is nothing really getting down in Washington?  Is that…? How many of you think that?

RUSH:  I don’t know, folks.  I know what Governor Christie is trying to say here and I know the message that he’s trying to impart, but I have to tell you that maybe we should send him some of the Rush Revere books.  If our ancestors had compromised, we might still be ruled by England.

Anyway, that’s when he’s talking about the fact that they compromised.  But they didn’t compromise.  They tried compromise, by the way, with the king.  They tried.  I mean, the king demanded that the colonists house and feed British soldiers.  There were any number.  They tried compromising on taxes until they couldn’t take it anymore, so they dumped the tea in the harbor.  I mean, the compromise didn’t work, and it led to the Declaration of Independence and then the war for independence.

Compromises with the Democratic Party keep Slavery

mcclellans-1864-electionWell, Governor Christie’s talking about when we became a country and started resolving the differences that we had with each other.  That’s when we compromised.  And you know what one of those compromises was?  Dare I go there?  Dare I go there? Dare I answer my own question?  You know what one of the compromises was?  Even before — one of the compromises was with the Southern states, which at the time were run by the Democrat Party.  There wasn’t a Republican Party ’til Abraham Lincoln came along and said he wanted to end slavery and preserve the union.  The Democrats wanted slavery.  The Southern states, the Southern colonies demanded that there would be no admonition or abolition of slavery in the Constitution.

Well, the others realized, if you read any John Adams, you know that the many of the early founders just detested slavery at the time they were putting the Constitution together because they are writing documents based on human liberty and all men created equal, Declaration of Independence, so forth.  They knew slavery, the country could not abide, the country could not be what they envisioned it to be.  And yet, to get the Southern states to go along with the revolution, they had to compromise.  So you could say — dare I answer my own question.  You could say that slavery was a part of the founding of America because of compromise.  And I would be right.  Of course I’m right.  I am always right.

It was compromise that gave us a nation founded with certain states permitted to keep slaves.  Okay.  I’m not trying to stir anything up here, folks.  I’m just pointing out what I know.  I know what Governor Christie’s trying to do, and I know that many Republicans still think that all the people in America don’t want anything but compromise, that’s what they want.  They want cooperation, bipartisanship.  This has become almost a mantra in the Republican Party, as though these guys sit around, they meditate all the time and compromise, compromise,  is their mantra.

Rush Limbaugh radio: Shooting the Messenger

truth-orwell-quoteRush: Here comes this analysis on Fox where he’s actually his own worst enemy because he’s become the topic rather than immigration.  Who is doing thatIsn’t that one of the favored tactics of the left?  The left never discusses issues with Republicans or conservatives. The way the left deals with this thing is to go destroy the messenger.  The left can’t have an honest open debate about any of these issues.  They simply can’t.  Obama could never have been elected if he were honest about his intentions.

It’s not Trump making this about Trump, is my point.  Maybe for the first time in his public life.  Trump is trying to stay focused on the issue.  Whatever you think about what he’s saying, he’s trying to stay focused on the issue.  Over here you’ve got people saying he’s killing his own plan because he’s becoming the topic.  Who is making him the topic?  That’s what the left always does, and oftentimes they’re joined by the Republicans.

I would think if you really wanted to get rid of Trump, either Republican or Democrat… But if you really wanted to get rid of Trump and you really want to limit whatever damage you think Trump is doing, then by all means tell anybody who will listen where he’s wrong.

Why is nobody doing that?

Trump comments: I’m a whipping post for telling hard truth about illegal immigrants

Trump: ‘According to a Government Accountability Office (GAO) 2011 report, America’s prisons house 351,000 criminal aliens who committed a crime after having already broken the law by entering America illegally.’ Trump added, ‘Making taxpayers pay for 351,000 criminals who should never have been here in the first place is ridiculous.'”

illegal-immigration-difference(Newsmax) – GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump said Saturday he has become a “whipping post” for telling the truth about illegal immigrants, and that he’s shocked that other candidates won’t discuss the issues he’s brought up.

“I’ve always said, if you are a successful person, it’s hard to run for office because they come at you from all different sides,” the real estate billionaire told Fox News’ “Fox and Friends Saturday” program. “Even if people love you, 40 percent hate you.”

But he said he has to run for office “because our country is in very serious trouble,” and on Saturday fired back at Republican counterparts and businesses who have criticized the comments he made during his presidential campaign announcement.

He’s refused to back down on his statement that Mexico sends “people that have lots of problems … they’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

And on Friday, two days after the shooting of Kathryn Steinle, a 32-year-old tourist who was killed in San Francisco while walking on a popular pier with her father, Trump continued to refuse to back down on his stance on immigrants.

Francisco Sanchez, the immigrant in Steinle’s death, has seven felony convictions and has been deported five times, most recently in 2009, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said Friday.

He was arrested about an hour after Wednesday’s slaying of Kathryn Steinle, 32, at Pier 14 — one of the busiest attractions in the city. Sanchez is believed to be 45 years old and last lived in Texas.

Immigration officials had turned Sanchez over to San Francisco police on March 26 on an outstanding drug warrant, agency spokeswoman Virginia Kice said.

The agency issued a detainer for Sanchez in March, but it was not honored, Kice said.

ImmigrationCriminals“I think it’s so sad this incredible young woman was shot right in front of her father,” Trump said Saturday. “Her father was standing there watching. I saw the brother today. You can never be the same when a thing like that happens. Never.”

Sanchez, though, had been sent out of the country many times, and Trump told the Fox program Saturday that the accused shooter “was a violent person,” and there are many cases just like the current one, but “nobody wants to talk about it.”

“It seems like I’m the whipping post, because I bring it up and I don’t understand whether you are liberal or whether you are conservative or whether you are Republican [or] Democrat, why wouldn’t you talk about [the] problem.”

And, he warned that terrorists will eventually come in through the nation’s Southern border, as “it’s the easiest thing, you just walk right in.”

“You would think that no matter where you are in terms of party affiliation you would want to do something about this,” said Trump. “The crime is raging. It’s violent and people don’t want to even talk about it if you talk about it you are a racist. I just don’t understand it.”

On Saturday, Trump also responded to candidates such as former New York Gov. George Pataki, who has written a letter to all the GOP candidates to push them to speak out against his statements.

“I know Pataki well,” said Trump. “He was a terrible governor of New York. Terrible. If he would have run again he wouldn’t have gotten anything. He was a failed governor. And, you know, as far as [Florida Sen. Marco] Rubio he is very weak on immigration and he I have been saying that for some time.”

Trump said he respects Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who came out in support of him, but then former Gov. Rick Perry for not doing more “in terms of protecting people.”

He insisted he loves the Mexican people and their spirit, but there “are people just just pouring across the border.”

Trump continued that he was surprised over NASCAR’s decision to distance itself from him by moving its season-ending awards ceremony away from the Trump National Doral Miami.

“I have so many fans at NASCAR,” said Trump. “I love the NASCAR people.” But he’s not worried about the organization pulling the awards ceremony, as someone else will replace them in the ballroom that night.”

He also fired back at some conservatives’ claims that he is running for brand recognition, not to get into the White House.

“I’m doing it for one reason, to make our country great again,” he insisted. “Our country has such tremendous untapped potential and for the people say I’m doing it for my brand, I don’t think it’s good for my brand.”

Republican Party Candidates cannot win without Social Issues in America

Republican Party Candidates Cannot Win Without Voters Who Care About the “Social Issues” in America

Culture-Wars

Rush Limbaugh Radio

“But the court has spoken, and gay marriage is now the law of the land, and we must move on. We must drop it.”  That is an out, I think.  I think that’s an excuse.  That’s an excuse for somebody who’s really telling you they don’t want the fight.  And that’s not what we need, folks. I’m telling you, going into 2016 and beyond, we don’t want and don’t need people who are not willing to fight and stand up for what we believe in, stand up for the founding of this country.

“It’s now the law of the land” is an out.

PewPollChristianWell, 20 minutes ago and 6,000 years ago, the opposite was the law of the land.  Did the Democrats accept it?  Did the gay activists accept it?  No.  They didn’t accept “the law of the land.”  They’re not accepting anything that is the law of the land.  They’re not accepting very much that is traditional.  They’re not accepting very much that’s institutional.  There’s an all-out assault and attack on everything, and specifically now religious liberty. Make no mistake about this.

I’ll get into this in due course as the program unfolds.

We telegraph that we just accept.

republicanGOPTRAPIt’s like I told you the prominent Republican last week talking to me said, “You know, Rush, elections have consequences.”

“What does that mean?”

“Well, they won the election.  They get to do what they want.”

“When’s the last time you ever heard a Democrat say ‘Ah, Republicans won. Elections have consequences. We’re not gonna fight their court nominees’?”

This is not good.  This is not healthy.  It’s a way out. And this whole “social issue” thing, here’s the bottom line.  Look, at the risk of incurring the wrath of people on their own side of the aisle here, the simple fact of the matter is the Republican Party is not going to win another presidential election if it has as part of its official platform and behavioral characteristic the open disavowing of its voters who care about quote/unquote “social issues.”  There’s simply too many of them.

Our posture each and every day is defense.  We haven’t had the chance to move the ball forward.  We’re defending an all-out assault on everything, I mean everything we hold dear.  We haven’t had a chance to actually move the ball forward. Well, we have.  We just haven’t availed ourselves of the opportunity.  We have had the White House for eight years in this decade, but the fact of the matter is that the social issues are in play because the Democrats put them there, not us.

Given that, this court’s not even a court.  It’s just a branch office — half of it’s a branch office — of the Democrat Party.

obamatearing-constitutionAnd so the question then becomes: “How do we deal with and react to and treat these decisions on high from this place?”  Because they have purposefully and willingly assumed this lofty position where they’re going to decide political questions, not legal.  And believe me, that is one of the reasons so many people who study this and follow it are really worried, angry, upset, what have you.

Because we’re not getting the law out of these people.  We’re getting politics.  As designed, by the way, by the left.  This is exactly… They’ve corrupted as much of the judiciary as they can by putting fellow traveler politicians on courts as judges.  Well, they were judges to begin with, but they’re political hacks first and judges second.  And they’re all over the federal bench — both at the district level and the appellate level — and they end up on the Supreme Court.

It’s an example about how the court is purely political, and particularly the four justices on the left.  And, by the way, look, I probably shouldn’t say this, which (chuckling) is the recipe why I say it. Sotomayor, Kagan, Ginsburg, Breyer, these are the four justices.  The first two are political appointments.  I mean, they are there for the assured liberal vote.

The left engages in litmus tests when they come up to nominating judges and they only care about one thing: “Is this person a reliable vote on our politics?”  That’s it.  Now, they will mask that and disguise that during confirmation hearings and all that, and they’ll go through the motions of making it look like the jurist is eminently qualified, has the perfect judicial temperament (and all that rotgut).  But the bottom line is you’ve got these four — Breyer, Sotomayor, Ginsburg, Kagan — and they are rubber stamps of the Democrat Party agenda.

Christians Are the Left’s True Target

war-on-christianityCALLER: My question is, since the Supreme Court made their ruling, I’d like to ask you how many gays do you think will be demanding to be married in a mosque?

RUSH:  I don’t think any.

CALLER:  And why might that be?

RUSH:  Well, the truth of the matter is that the gay community in America does not see militant Islam as discriminating against them.

CALLER:  That’s true.

RUSH:  Militant Islamists have not denied them happiness and good times and getting married and all.  It’s Christians.  It’s Christians.  You might say, “But do they not know that homosexuals are put to death in Muslim countries?”  Well, but it’s not happening in America.  We don’t live in those countries.

CALLER:  Exactly.

RUSH:  They’re not gonna go. They’re scared.  They’re not gonna go into a mosque and demand marriage.  It’s not what this is about.  This is not designed to take down Islam.  The target’s not Islam.  The target is not religion per se.  The target is Christians.  And I am glad you called, because it’s an excellent point.

Education History

Darwin_headerNow, let me posit something else.  I can honestly tell you that when I was in middle school (“junior high school” it was called then) and high school, evolution was not formally taught like it is today.  Evolution was something that… There was biological evolution.  We were taught about how certain organisms adapt.  It wasn’t called evolution as evolution’s taught today.  We were never taught that there was cross-species evolution.  People tried.

I mean, there were always the illusions that we were once gorillas.  But I never had to face what kids have to face today in school, “the unalterable fact,” supposedly, of evolution.  And part and parcel of it, folks, kids are being taught, “There is no God, there is no heaven, there’s only hell, there is nothing.  There’s just nothing.  This is it.  This is all there is,” which wouldn’t be so bad if this weren’t all apocalyptic!

I’m just asking: “How often does it take? How much exposure to this kind of stuff does it take for young people to begin to believe it.”  I think we’re seeing the evidence of it here with all these surveys, of people saying they have no hope and they’ve go no confidence in and no faith in anything.  Look, when a comedian is viewed to be the most serious newsman for certain people… (interruption) No wait, no.  That’s a fact.

Young people think a comedian is the news.  Now, evolution.  I wasn’t taught evolution, but I have heard… I need those of you who have kids — or maybe you believe it. I don’t know.  I have been told that the teaching of evolution, as it occurs today in school and in formal education, involves racism.  Now, if this happens to be true… Again, as I say, I was not taught this.  I was not exposed to this.  I’ve only heard about this from people who tell me what their kids come home from school and tell ’em.

Darwin Eugenics

plannedParenthoodAFAThe teaching of human evolution is essentially rampant with racism, because evolution, as it’s being taught, discusses the transition from dark skin to light skin being more evolved. Now, I do know that the original eugenics crowd popularized by Margaret Sanger and her buds back then… This is what amazes me about the left: Margaret Sanger was all about eliminating the black race, and she’s a leftist hero today!  Margaret Sanger and her eugenics buds — and there were a lot of supposedly really smart people in her eugenics crowd.

Leftist Racism in Schools⇒ Racist mass murderers

Well, now, if you happen to be a young kid in junior high or high school, and you’re being force-fed evolution, and part of evolution is teaching you that the transition from dark skin to light skin equals more evolved, what are you gonna think of dark-skin people?  As I say, I wasn’t taught this.  But I’m hearing from people that this is part of the curriculum.  Well, if that’s true, for crying out loud, then it makes it a little bit more understandable why people like this Dylann Roof guy exist.

Evolution — is a left-wing, mandatory requirement now.

darwin-title-raceIf evolution is teaching that part of evolution is “becoming” from dark skin to light skin? Holy smokes, folks!  Remember Charles Darwin’s book on The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life I mean, that was the title of Darwin’s book!  And in the midst of all this the idea that people want to tag talk radio or Fox News with this stuff?

Racism then and Racism Today: Liberal Hypocrisy

hypocrisyWe have serious problems that apparently few are even willing to approach in terms of source and honest discussion and so forth.  If that happens to be true — do you know that to be true about the teaching of evolution?  (interruption)  You don’t know that to be true?  (interruption)  I hope it isn’t.  If that’s true, that answers every question you’ve got out there.  If the evolutionists are teaching that part of evolution is going from you dark skin to light skin, and light skin/white skin is more evolved than dark skin? What if somebody like Hitler believed it?  And he did!

Hitler believed Darwin!

Truth Zone: Propaganda Examples, Global Warming Hoax, and Delusional Mass Communication

Truth Zone:

Our Overnight Orwellian Unraveling

Truth-Detectors

Rush Limbaugh Radio

PC-TruthRUSH:  George Orwell captured the whole notion of this mass delusion and propaganda, the twisted logic of the politics of collective delusion.  He put it this way.  Well, I’m paraphrasing.  But his point was that if you believe something that differs from the social consensus — and look at the social issues that are harping out there.  They’re all rooted in this apparent crisis of inequality.  Somehow the masses that we’re talking about here, the propagandized have been convinced that America is the land of inequality, the land of unfairness.

Propaganda Examples: Delusional Mass Communication

obama-orwell-nightmareNow, here’s how it begins.  “How To Escape The Age Of Mass Delusion,” which is what this is all being described as being.  “Mass delusion is an important tool of oppressors because they can’t survive free expression. That’s why the First Amendment’s a target. Nearly 100 years ago, Walter Lippmann wrote about ‘the manufacture of consent’ in his classic work, ‘Public Opinion.’ On the heels of that book, Edward Bernays penned a little volume called ‘Propaganda,’ in which he stated that an elite would always be responsible for making the public aware of ‘new ideas’ which the public would then act upon as the elite nudged them into it. Related, but more in-depth is Jacques Ellul’s 1962 book, ‘Propaganda: The Formation of Men’s Attitudes.’

Media Propaganda on Global Warming Hoax

hoaxglobalwarmingMedia propaganda urging that everybody accept the false — the demonstrably false — version of an event.  There’s no real debate on the merits or policies that depend on blind faith in man-made global warming.  If you disagree with it, you’re called a denier, even though it cannot be proven!  There is no man-made global warming.  It cannot be established; it cannot be proven.  In fact it’s been established to be a hoax, and the man leading it claims to be a scientist.  He’s not.  Algore!

Fraud!

RushGlobalWarming4corners-deceitEverywhere on these left-wing movements, fraud makes up a vast amount of it.  But the fraud succeeds in propagandizing, and as this piece points out: Refuting all this stuff with reason and logic just doesn’t seem to make a dent.  Which is why people obsessed and possessed with reason and logic reach a frustration level and give up.  “My gosh, if reason and logic are not gonna inform people, convert people, and get people back off of this stuff, then I don’t know what to do.” So they check out, go move behind the gated community and hope the cops don’t show at their swimming pool.

obamafraudHow about the”consensus of scientists” who all agree that global warming is man-made?  And what are the people that don’t adopt and support and abide by the consensus?  Well, they’re deniers, or kooks, or weirdos.  You know Obama? You know the way he involves himself in this?  Obama uses rhetoric to destroy people.  He has these fake straw men.  He’ll use a technique along the lines of… He’ll make up a group of people who think something, but you don’t know who the group is and you know what they’re doing.

“As jokes go, Sir Tim Hunt’s brief standup routine about women in science last week must rank as one of the worst acts of academic self-harm in history. As he reveals to the Observer, reaction to his remarks about the alleged … tendencies of female researchers has virtually finished off the 72-year-old Nobel laureate’s career as a senior scientific adviser.” Here is what he said.  The guy’s British.  He’s been fired from his job.  So was his wife.  Here’s what he said.

“Sir Tim reportedly described himself as a ‘chauvinist pig’ at the World Conference of Science Journalists in Seoul and argued in favor of single-sex laboratories.” He said, “Let me tell you about my trouble with girls. Three things happen when they are in the lab: you fall in love with them, they fall in love with you, and when you criticize them they cry.” That is it.  That is what he said.  And for saying that, he and his wife are now literally ruined.  Their careers are over for trying to have a little levity about a point that he believed.

Certainly the speed of the dispatch of Hunt — who won the 2001 Nobel prize in physiology for his work on cell division — from his various academic posts is startling.”

twitterstormListen to this paragraph: “His treatment also demonstrates the innate cruelty of social media, and in particular the savage power of Twitter, which first revealed the scientist’s transgression. The tale also demonstrates how PR departments, in trying to protect the reputation of institutions, often do so at the expense of the [people] who work for or make up those bodies.”

In other words, everybody caves.  Everybody just caves!  The guy goes out and makes a little joke. The people wound too tight literally go nuts. The sewer of Twitter comes alive.

That’s the thing that has surprised me about all of this cultural rot, deterioration, the mass delusion, propaganda we’ve been talking about, the thing that surprises me is how fast powerful institutions are to cave.  Rather than stand up and oppose it, everybody just caves.

Twitter Savagery is Fraud

liesEven if you give them the facts.  Even if you tell ’em it’s not tens of thousands of people on Twitter. It’s five or 10 using algorithms to make themselves look like tens of thousands.  It’s stunning to me.  I remember when I was growing up, the adults of that generation did not put up with this crap.  But something’s happened to transform it. The point is it’s more than cultural evolution taking place here.  This is not a natural cultural evolution.

It’s not natural change.  It is change, but I think it’s brought about by artificial means, which is what propaganda is, lies.  Delusion is delusion.  I mean, delusion is what it is.

Gallup Signals the GOP: Abandon the Bitter Clingers in Your Backwards Base

Some people complain because I listen to Rush Limbaugh radio a lot; they say he’s biased. Well, I guess I’m biased, too—biased in favor of the truth! I like to get my news from Rush, because he does his job. He does what news reporters are supposed to do: expose corruption and lies, and report the TRUTH. People who hate Rush have never listened to him, and they only believe the lies that the liberal bias in the mainstream media say about him. If the media were doing their job, they wouldn’t dislike Rush. But some people take the truth to be hard, so they just deny it all the time. ~C.D.

Gallup-poll-moralShiftRUSH: A new Gallup poll out.  Headline:  “Americans Continue to Shift Left on Key Moral Issues.” Now, before you go off getting depressed about this, let me tell you what the reason for this is, after we give you the details.

“Americans are more likely now than in the early 2000s to find a variety of behaviors morally acceptable, including gay and lesbian relations, having a baby outside of marriage and sex between an unmarried man and woman. Moral acceptability of many of these issues is now at a record-high level.”

It’s a subtle message to the Republican Party, and that is this:  You better forget about your base.  Those bitter clingers, those social conservatives, you better realize they’re not it anymore, they’re not where it’s at anymore.  Nobody agrees with ’em anymore.  Your base is rapidly being eclipsed by a more hip and modern culture, and they are Democrats and they hate you, and you had better find a way to get rid of the religious right.

moralstandards1That’s the message of this story, and it’s gonna work with certain establishment Republicans.  They’ll cite this story and they’ll go talk to their Republican buddies and they’ll say, “See?  See?  I’ve been telling you for 15 years abortion is gonna kill us.  You wouldn’t listen.  I’ve been telling you 15 years all this social issue crap is gonna do us in, and now look at the Gallup poll.  You had better start listening to me.”  This is what’s gonna be happening in Republican circles, particularly in the Republican establishment in the Northeast.  That’s exactly why this story was done.  I’m convinced this is exactly why this poll is taken.

“This latest update on Americans’ views of the moral acceptability of various issues and behaviors is from Gallup’s May 6-10 Values and Beliefs survey. … The upward progression … clearly points toward a higher level of acceptance of a number of behaviors. In fact, the moral acceptability ratings for 10 of the issues measured since the early 2000s are at record highs.”

Notice the language here.  “Upward progression,” “higher level,” “record highs.”  The attempt here is to convince the reader that we are making great strides forward by eliminating the moral code that used to exist.  Yeah, and I would ask, how much better is the country for all of this?  Just how much happier are people?  How much more content?  How less angst is there?  I don’t get the sense that we’re living in a country that’s having a rocking good time right now.

Remember the real America?

capra-wonderful-lifeLook, folks, I’m just telling you what I see out there as I travel around and I listen, I watch, I read, I observe.  Much of my life is spent observing others.  And I remember, in terms of national mood, much happier times than we live in today.  And if not much happier, certainly more content.  And I remember times where there was much RushSocialMedia2PIXless anger and confrontation and angst.  I know some of this is due to social media giving voice to all this.

The argument could be made that all this hate and the sewage that’s Twitter has always been there.  It’s just that the people that practice it never had the protection of anonymity.  If they really wanted to spew this hate, they had to go out and say it in front of other people in order for it to be heard.  Now they can go on Twitter or Facebook and make up an identity and say whatever they want about whoever.  I know the argument that it’s always been there, but the point is, even if it was there, it was beneath the surface.

Wickedness never was happiness. ~Alma 41:10

This degradation of our morality has allowed the baser instincts of a whole slew of people to surface and to become defined as normal and something that we must accept.  Now, they can run around and strut all happy and stuff with their polls on how all of this previously immoral behavior is now wonderfully moral and openly practiced and openly accepted.  They can run around and they can strut and they can spout their happiness, but they can’t point to where people are. I mean even the people winning all this are not happy.  Some of the angriest people in the world are the people getting married on the gay side.

obama-villeMy point is, the left, in winning this fight to degrade the American moral code, doesn’t seem to be happy with their victories.  They seem angrier with every victory.  “No, Mr. Limbaugh, you are confusing anger with renewed sense of purpose to keep going and not stopping.”  Well, you may have a point there because nothing can apparently make any of you guys happy.  No matter what — I’ve always said this — no matter what the left gets, no matter what they demand, no matter how much of it they get, they are never happy.

It’s something I have noted my entire life.  This lack of happiness, this anger, this consternation, whatever you want to call it, I know inspires much of their behavior and their political agenda.  But I think it’s gotten to the point where they’re incapable of being happy.  You know what?  I think one of the reasons, I’m gonna be very, very bold here.  And I may be dead wrong about this.  I may be acknowledging or granting them more awareness and sensitivity than they really have.

ObamaWreckingBall2Obama was gonna get rid of politics-as-usual and there wasn’t gonna be any partisanship and there wasn’t gonna be any arguing and everybody was gonna get along.  I mean, there’s a lot of people that voted for Obama on that basis. It’s quite understandable that they would be miffed because none of that’s happened.

Yet Obama’s victorious. He wins practically everything he tries for.  And yet everything Obama does is falling apart.  American foreign policy’s a joke, by design, but the American people don’t want that to be the case.  Obama does.  The American people don’t.  Obamacare?  Isn’t a lot of happiness.  I mean, the latest stories on Obamacare are the people who finally got insurance now can’t afford to use it.  The deductibles are too high.

Never Satisfied, Not Happy

I have seen a happy country.  I have seen a country in a good mood, and this is not it. I’ve lived long enough, I’ve experienced enough to know.  So these people can lie to themselves all they want and they can tell themselves they’re winning every day, but I don’t see the accompanying happiness.  I don’t even see the accompanying satisfaction.  You know what they’re most happy about?  It’s not what they’re gaining.  It’s right in the evidence of this story.  Their real happiness comes from them thinking we are frustrated and defeated.

Psychologically Sick

angry-liberal-leftI think their happiness and their satisfaction is totally encompassed — well, maybe not totally, but largely encompassed in the thrill they get at conservatives and Republicans losing.  And if they happen to be Christians, that’s even better.  So they’re taking their happiness in what they hope is the misery of other people.  I don’t think that’s a recipe for happiness.  But the left has been selling that for as long as I’ve been alive.

What do you think class warfare is?  What do you think tax increases for the rich are?  That’s designed to stoke anger for the rich and then to make the middle class and the poor somehow think life is better ’cause the rich’s taxes went up.  They’re supposed to take happiness, they’re supposed to be satisfied that their enemies, the rich, had it stuck to ’em.  Their lives don’t change.  They don’t have any more money after the rich’s taxes go up.  So they’re not happier because there’s been substantive change in their livesNo, they’ve been conditioned to be happy at the misery of others.  That’s not happiness to me.  That’s sick.

I think it’s destructive, psychologically destructive, when you measure your happiness by how unhappy other people are, or how miserable other people are, and that’s what this is all about.  ‘Cause I just don’t see the happiness.  I’ll tell you, folks, if we conservatives were winning the same way the left is winning during these years with Obama, do you know how happy we’d be?  I mean, we’d be happy, confident, sitting on top of the world, and we’d be thinking we can change anything, persuade anybody of anything. We’d be riding the wave. With these people there is none of that with their victories.  There’s anger and there’s consternation and there’s angst and there’s bitterness.

Socialism

June 1, 2015

Rush Limbaugh Radio

History of Socialism

Bernie Sanders is a full-fledged acknowledged, admitted socialist.  There’s a reason why he’s drawing flocks and flocks of people when he goes out.

obamawaronprosperityRUSH: The Washington Post has a story today wondering why in the world people are so down on the economy.  They can’t figure it out at the Washington Post, why people are so down on the economy.  The economy? Yeah, it’s roaring! It’s like they’re not aware of the revised first-quarter growth rate of minus 0.7%.  They talk about wages kicking up and jobs kicking up and productivity kicking up. They’re seeing things nobody else sees, and then they’re wondering why nobody sees it.

Perception is reality in politics, and if the American people think the economy’s in the tank — and it is. But even if they think it is and it isn’t, they still think it is. That’s gonna win the day’s attitudes.

It has everything to do with people’s perception of where they are in this country.  It could be traced back. There was some old German economist at the turn of the twentieth century, the early 1900s, who was famous for asking, “Why hasn’t America gone socialist?”  Because it was thought to be the natural thing for countries, populations, governments, to do, just like everybody by then in Europe had gone socialist.

Socialism, communism has been the way most people have been forced to live in the human condition.  Now, communism existed long before it was called that, but I mean people living in tyranny, people who were not allowed freedom.  So this famous German economist (I can’t remember his name) asked, “Why hasn’t America gone socialist yet?”  There was a substantive answer to that.  It was called “we, the people” in the preamble of the Declaration.

We, the people. The First Amendment. Freedom, liberty, and so forth.  The government was not of primary import in our founding documents, the Constitution and so forth.  But, in addition to that, there was no economic need for it. For socialism to be attractive, what do you need?  Just a little pop quiz here.  For socialism to be attractive to people, what needs to exist?  (interruption)  Well, yeah, “unrest and chaos.”

The thing that you need, the thing that needs to be in place, the thing that needs to happen for socialism to be attractive is for people to think they have no more chance at upward mobility.  It’s when people think their chance at moving from the middle class to the upper middle class is over or really, really hard — and, more than anything else, just a crapshoot. Not guaranteed by hard work. Not the usual formulas to get there.

When they’re burned out, when people think that where they are economically is as good as it’s gonna get for their whole life, obamaSocialistDemWOrkersPartysocialism looks really, really good.  And that’s the answer. That’s why Bernie Sanders has drawn a lot of people, because to Democrats who are depressed and angry and dispirited every day, who have no hope of life getting better… Why would they?  I mean, everything they believe in doesn’t work and they’re living in the midst of it.

Now, “American Socialism’s Day in the Sun,” this is the story dealing with way back turn of the twentieth century, this guy, some German economist perplexed why America, back in the early 1900s, has not gone socialist yet.  And the answer to that is all rooted in the fact that everybody in America considered themselves in the middle class.  You see, in socialist countries, people are so poor that what they aspire to is not the 1%, not the 10%.  What people in socialist or communist countries aspire to is what we call lower middle class, in some cases middle class.

Socialism and Corruption Scandals

But I’ll just make one more point.  If you have FIFA [International Football (Soccer) Association] over here and it’s a corrupt organization, and we know it is.  I mean, it’s the way the world operates, a bunch of European socialists, for crying out loud.  The only way anybody in Europe in a socialist country has any money is to be screwing everybody else.  That’s what socialism does.  The leaders make off with all the loot while the average, ordinary population thinks that they’re living the life of Reilly by getting handouts here and handouts there.

They never get rich.  The guys running the show get rich.  The only way they can do it is by stealing from everybody.  They say capitalism, the rich get rich by stealing from the poor.  No, that’s socialism.  In socialism the middle class doesn’t have a chance of getting rich.  In socialism the middle class, lower class, they are condemned.  That’s where they are.  If that’s where they are, that’s where they stay.

capitalism-upwd-mobilityCapitalism, everybody’s got a chance to move up.

June 1, 2015

America was already compared to the rest of the world, and in world SM_stossel_capitalism_works-800x600history, America was so far advanced economically, our people, our population, we already had a vibrant middle class that was just beginning in the turn of the twentieth century to dominate the world.  So there was no need for socialism.

Socialism is viewed as a step up by people who want it and support it.  But now we step forward, we jump forward to 2015, and we find that many Democrats and people on the left are eagerly anticipating a socialist America full-fledged admitted, no bones about it socialist America, and you know why?  It’s because of downward mobility now in the American economy, not upward.

Timeline: 2008 – 2015

capitalism-upwd-mobility-outoforderAnd here are the numbers to chew on ’til we get back and get into detail.  As recently as 2008, 63% of Americans identified as upper middle or middle class.  Seven years later, now, 2015, that number has fallen to 51%, 51% now identify as upper middle or middle class.  Meanwhile, the share of Americans who self-identify as working and lower class has jumped from 35 to 48%, and that is why people like Bernie Sanders, avowed socialists, are drawing big crowds of leftists and Democrats, ’cause to them it’s a step up.  It’s sad commentary on what has been done to this country.

May 27, 2015

I don’t mean to say there’s not fraud and corruption in capitalism.  There’s fraud and corruption everywhere ’cause there are bad guys out there, bad women now, too, out there.  It used to be there were no bad women, just bad guys, but now that women have positions of power, they’re corrupt, too.  Slap me.  It’s true.

But in Western European socialism, for crying out loud, it’s the name of the game, it’s the coin of the realm.  Corruption, graft, scratch my back, I’ll scratch your back.  Whatever it takes.  Cut corners, screw people left and right.

Photo of Marine and Bride Prayers Goes Viral — Because What Used to be Normal in America Is Now Rare

Rush Limbaugh Radio

marineweddingviralJust a photo of Marine praying with his bride before their wedding goes viral.

Now, you’re probably thinking, “So?”

It’s so unusual.  It’s so out of the norm.  It’s so extraordinary that it went viral all over social media because you just don’t see it anymore, or you don’t hear about it.  “US Marine Cpl. Caleb Earwood wanted a moment to pray with his bride-to-be Maggie before their wedding ceremony on Saturday. Now, a photo of the couple holding hands in prayer has gone viral.

“Caleb prayed for the couple’s marriage, asking that their union be strong enough to serve as an example for young couples, as Maggie held back tears. ‘It broke me down,’ Maggie said, ‘to know that we felt the same way about God. It just made me happy.'”

It went viral.  What does that tell you?  I mean, seriously.  It tells me there’s a hunger for this stuff.  It didn’t go viral because the left is outraged and can’t believe it, although that might have been the reaction they had, but that’s not why it went viral.  It went viral because this is a huge positive to people.  This is a huge upper.  Here you’ve got a handsome Marine marrying the woman of his dreams, and they pray before the ceremony, but still not seeing each other, holding hands.

Oh, my gosh.  This is just too perfect.  And it’s an oasis in what has become a rotting, deteriorating sewer of a culture.  That’s why it went viral.

“The incredible moment was captured by wedding photographer Dwayne Schmidt, who later uploaded it to his Facebook page where it received an overwhelming positive response. ‘Beautiful picture. It brought tears to my eyes. The bride is showing some raw emotion and love. You captured how affected she was by his words!!!!’ wrote one Facebook commenter. … ‘So many people are emailing me,’ Schmidt said, ‘saying thank you for sharing this.

It’s what America is supposed to be about.'”

That’s exactly right.  That’s my point.  There’s a hunger and a thirst. Do you realize what the Republican Party could learn from this?  And I don’t mean go all God.  That’s not what this is.  This is tradition.  This is institution, tradition, defining institution, tradition that made America great.  It’s all encapsulated here.  It’s what Americans want their country to be.  That’s why it went viral.

Democrats Slammed For Non-Patriotic Memorial Day Tweets

By Sandy Fitzgerald

obama-disdain-militarySocial Media vents anger over Democrat disdain for Military, War Heroes

Social media is roaring with angry backlash against the Democratic Party, which tweeted a photo of the president eating ice cream on Friday along with a decidedly un-patriotic message that said nothing to honor military sacrifices, but rather a bubbly “Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone!”

While CNN’s Jake Tapper called out the post by @TheDemocrats “respectfully, this is not what Memorial Day Weekend is all about,” he scolded — others also lashed out as well, with one calling their post “utterly clueless.”

Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone!

Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone! pic.twitter.com/TMBSu187PbThe party’s tweet, posted Friday,  Simply said “Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone!” and showed Obama eating ice cream while the press corps took his picture, rather than using the space to remember the sacrifices of military members who lost their lives.

Maggi Cook, who describes herself as Republican from Cincinnati, was more direct with her anger that the veterans holiday was somehow being treated as a celebration in the party’s seemingly out-of-touch Tweet. “What exactly is ‘happy’ about tending to graves and remembering family members’ sacrifices? U don’t have any idea do u?” Cook wrote angrily.

On Saturday, the Democrats also ruffled feathers by posting an ad for a 15 percent off sale of party merchandise, the Daily Caller noted. It was followed by a Tweet showing a 1967 Memorial Day picture of President Lyndon B. Johnson enjoying a Texas barbecue.
