Stress Relief Tips—Listen with your Heart

If I Listen with My Heart

Sally DeFord

If I had been a little child when Jesus lived on earth, I would have liked to walk with Him and listen to His words. But as I search the scriptures I can hear His words of peace, And if I listen with my heart I hear the Savior’s voice.

I feel the Holy Spirit as he teaches truth and right, He comforts me in times of need, He testifies of Christ, He speaks to me in quiet ways that fill my soul with peace, And if I listen with my heart I hear the Savior’s voice.

Stress Relief Tips: Gratitude Walk

Stress Relief Tips:

Gratitude Walk

An interesting idea from Jon Gordon is to take a daily
“thank-you” walk, which he says is a great way to feed yourself
with positivity.

How it works: You simply take a walk… outside, in a mall, on a
treadmill, or anywhere else you can think of, and think about all
the things, big and small, that you are grateful for.

Why it works: Research shows you can’t be stressed and thankful
at the same time. So when you combine gratitude with physical
exercise, you give yourself a double boost of positive energy.
You flood your brain and body with positive emotions and natural
antidepressants that uplift you rather than the stress hormones
that drain your energy and slowly kill you. By the time you get
to work you are ready for a great day.

Stress Relief Tips: Obedience to God, Courageous Living, Fear Not

Stress Relief Tips:

Obedience to God, Courageous Living, Fear Not

Let Us All Press On

Evan Stephens

Fear not, though the enemy deride, Courage, for the Lord is on our side.We will heed not what the wicked may say, but the Lord alone we will obey.

Let us all press on in the work of the Lord, That when live is ever we may gain a reward.

In the fight for right let us wield a sword, the mighty sword of truth.

We will not retreat, though our numbers may be few when compared with the opposite host in view;

But an unseen power will aid me and you in the glorious cause of truth.

If we do what’s right we have no need to fear, for the Lord, our helper, will ever be near.

In the days of trial his saints he will cheer and prosper the cause of truth.

Fear not, though the enemy deride,

Courage, for the Lord is on our side.

We will heed not what the wicked may say,

But the Lord alone we will obey.
