Accomplishments of Trump:

Conservative Leaders send letter—Thank You, President Trump

It is Faith and Family, not bureaucracy and government, that make America great. We will defend privacy, free speech, free assembly, religious liberty, and the right to keep and bear arms. We support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. We believe in the dignity of work, and the sanctity of life.

We believe that children should be taught to love our country, honor our history, and always respect our great American flag. And we live by the words of our great national motto, In God We Trust. President Donald J. Trump, emphasized at every rally

President Trump Rose GardenWith the constant bashing of President Trump by the left-wing media and liberal politicians, it is good to be reminded of the accomplishments his administration has made to advance conservative principles.

I also encourage you to pray for President Trump every day. I’ve never seen such hatred for a president like the kind the media and “progressive” elites have for President Trump. It’s otherworldly, really. If I can use a biblical term, it’s spiritual warfare. While he has his flaws (as we all do), I know he loves our country and has surrounded himself with many fine patriotic Christians who only want to advance freedom and honor God with their actions and decisions. ~Tim Wildmon, President, American Family Association, signer of the letter below

Washington, DC

Dear President Trump,

On behalf of the conservative movement, we would like to thank you for the accomplishments your administration has achieved on behalf of the American people.

From a booming economy, to stronger protections at the border, to implementing strong protections for the unborn, to nominating constitutionalist judges to the federal bench, you have kept your promises to the voters that elected you.

Specifically, we want to applaud you for the following achievements:

  • A booming economy that has unemployment at its lowest level in fifty years, the highest median household income on record, a labor force that has grown by 2.1 million.
  • Poverty rates for African Americans, Asian Americans, and Hispanic Americans at record lows, and unemployment among women is at its lowest level in nearly 70 years.
  • Aggressively working to address the opioid crisis.
  • Signing the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act of 2017 which resulted in more than 6 million American works receiving wage increases, bonuses, and increased benefits.
  • Rolling back nearly 8 regulations for every significant new one and cutting regulatory costs by more than $50 billion.
  • Repealing two particularly onerous regulations: the Obama-era Waters of the U.S. rule, and the Obama-era “Clean Power” Plan, and revoking California’s emissions waiver, all of which cost Americans millions of dollars and thousands of jobs.
  • Withdrawing America from the Paris climate treaty, which saved American families $20,000 a year.
  • Opening up federal lands and offshore areas to fossil fuel development and permitting the pipelines and infrastructure necessary to facilitate further development.
  • Signing the 2019 Executive Order to stop agency abuse of guidance documents.
  • Working to re-negotiate the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement to update the North American Free Trade Agreement and secure a better deal for American workers.
  • Keeping your campaign promise to build a new wall at the southern border.
  • Striking agreements with Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to help stop our illegal immigration crisis.
  • Taking action to reduce exploitation of our asylum loopholes, ensuring that the asylum process is there for those who truly need it.
  • Increasing cooperation with local law enforcement to enforce immigration laws.
  • Signing the Choice and Accountability Act to update and reform the Veteran’s Administration.
  • Ensuring strong protections of the Second Amendment.
  • A defeated ISIS caliphate and killing of terrorist leaders al-Baghdadi and Qassem Soleimani, both of whom were responsible for the deaths of Americans.
  • Recognizing Israel’s capital as Jerusalem and opening an American Embassy there, as well as recognizing Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
  • Withdrawing the United States from the ineffective and dangerous 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
  • Rebuilding America’s military, including instituting a Space Force, and supporting America’s men and women in uniform.
  • Appointing and securing confirmation for 187 federal judges who are strong constitutionalists.
  • Signing the 2017 Executive Order on Protecting Religious Liberty and the 2019 Executive Order protecting free speech on college campuses.
  • Ensuring that faith-based ministries do not have to choose between violating their religious beliefs by complying with Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate, or closing their doors.
  • Establishing a new Conscience and Religious Freedom division at the Department of Health and Human Services to direct the agency’s efforts to protect religious freedom and people of faith in the healthcare industry.
  • Proposing a rule protecting the conscience rights of faith-based adoption providers.
  • Being the first administration to host a meeting at the United Nations on religious freedom.
  • Reinstating the Mexico City Policy to end federal funding of groups that promote or perform abortion overseas.
  • Restricting Title X money from going to organizations that perform, promote, or refer for abortion, while continuing to promote women’s health care by funding organizations who do not.
  • Allowing state Medicaid directors to exclude abortion providers from their Medicaid programs.
  • Ending funding of new medical research using human fetal tissue obtained from elective abortions.
  • Re-issuing guidance stating that hospitals may be required to treat infants born alive after abortions.
  • Opposing efforts at the United Nations to make abortion an international human right.
  • Hiring strong conservatives for important positions within the White House.

We are proud to support the work of your administration and these tremendous achievements.

Sincerely,

The Honorable Edwin Meese III

INTERESTING THEORY ABOUT DONALD TRUMP’S SUCCESS.

Donald Trump is America ’s first wartime president in the Culture War. During wartime, things like “dignity” and “collegiality” simply aren’t the most essential qualities one looks for in their warriors.

By the Democratic Mayor of Livermore, California.

Trump vs EstablishmentThe mayor of Livermore, California explains Trump’s popularity and success. This is perhaps the best explanation for Trump’s popularity.

Marshall Kamena is a registered Democrat and was elected mayor of Livermore, CA. He ran on the democratic ticket as he knew a Bay Area city would never vote for a Republican. He is as conservative as they come.

He wrote the following:

Trump’s ‘lack of decorum, dignity, and statesmanship’

By Marshall Kamena, Mayor of Livermore, CA.

My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.”

Trump calls me AmericanHere’s my answer:

  • We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency.
  • We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain?
  • We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney? And the results were always the same.

This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the Left has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob.

  • I don’t find anything “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper” about Barack Obama’s lying about what went down on the streets of Ferguson in order to ramp up racial hatreds because racial hatreds serve the Democratic Party.
  • I don’t see anything “dignified” in lying about the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi and imprisoning an innocent filmmaker to cover your tracks.
  • I don’t see anything “statesman-like” in weaponizing the IRS to be used to destroy your political opponents and any dissent. Yes, Obama was “articulate” and “polished” but in no way was he in the least bit “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper.”

Trump: US a Christian nationThe Left has been engaged in a war against America since the rise of the Children of the ‘60s. To them, it has been an all-out war where nothing is held sacred and nothing is seen as beyond the pale.. It has been a war they’ve fought with violence, the threat of violence, demagoguery and lies from day one – the violent take-over of the universities – till today.

The problem is that, through these years, the Left has been the only side fighting this war. While the Left has been taking a knife to anyone who stands in their way, the Right has continued to act with dignity, collegiality and propriety.

With Donald Trump, this all has come to an end.

Donald Trump is America ’s first wartime president in the Culture War. During wartime, things like “dignity” and “collegiality” simply aren’t the most essential qualities one looks for in their warriors.

Ulysses Grant

Ulysses S. GrantUlysses Grant was a drunk whose behavior in peacetime might well have seen him drummed out of the Army for conduct unbecoming. Had Abraham Lincoln applied the peacetime rules of propriety and booted Grant, the Democrats might well still be holding their slaves today.

Lincoln Lincoln rightly recognized that, “I cannot spare this man. He fights.”

General George Patton

George PattonGeneral George Patton was vulgar-talking. In peacetime, this might have seen him stripped of rank. But, had Franklin Roosevelt applied the normal rules of decorum then, Hitler and the Socialists would barely be five decades into their thousand-year Reich.

Trump is fighting. And what’s particularly delicious is that, like Patton standing over the battlefield as his tanks obliterated Rommel’s, he’s shouting, “You magnificent bastards, I read your book!” That is just the icing on the cake, but it’s wonderful to see that not only is Trump fighting, he’s defeating the Left using their own tactics.

That book is Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – a book so essential to the Liberals’ war against America that it is and was the playbook for the entire Obama administration and the subject of Hillary Clinton’s senior thesis. It is a book of such pure evil, that, just as the rest of us would dedicate our book to those we most love or those to whom we are most indebted, Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer.

Trump exposes Fake News

Trump’s tweets may seem rash and unconsidered but, in reality, he is doing exactly what Alinsky suggested his followers do.

Thanks to A.F. Branco at Comically Incorrect  for his great cartoon

First, instead of going after “the fake media” — and they are so fake that they have literally gotten every single significant story of the past 60 years not just wrong, but diametrically opposed to the truth, from the Tet Offensive to Benghazi, to what really happened on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri —

Trump isolated CNN. He made it personal.

Then, just as Alinsky suggests, he employs ridicule which Alinsky described as “the most powerful weapon of all.”

Most importantly, Trump’s tweets have put CNN in an untenable and unwinnable position … They need to respond. This leaves them with only two choices. They can either “go high” (as Hillary would disingenuously declare of herself and the fake news would disingenuously report as the truth) and begin to honestly and accurately report the news or they can double-down on their usual tactics and hope to defeat Trump with twice their usual hysteria and demagoguery.

trump-weather-stormThe problem for CNN (et al.) with the former is that, if they were to start honestly reporting the news, that would be the end of the Democratic Party they serve. It is nothing but the incessant use of fake news (read: propaganda) that keeps the Left alive. Imagine, for example, if CNN had honestly and accurately reported then-candidate Barack Obama’s close ties to foreign terrorists (Rashid Khalidi), domestic terrorists (William Ayers & Bernardine Dohrn), the mafia (Tony Rezko) or the true evils of his spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright’s church. Imagine if they had honestly and accurately conveyed the evils of the Obama administration’s weaponizing of the IRS to be used against their political opponents or his running of guns to the Mexican cartels or the truth about the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the Obama administration’s cover-up.

America First, still

So, to my friends on the Left — and the #NeverTrumpers as well — do I wish we lived in a time when our president could be “collegial” and “dignified” and “proper”?

Of course I do. These aren’t those times. Trump-PatriotThis is war. And it’s a war that the Left has been fighting without opposition for the past 50 years. So, say anything you want about this president – I get it – he can be vulgar, he can be crude, he can be undignified at times.

I don’t care. I can’t spare this man. He fights for America!

Young Boy Hugs Donald Trump After He Signs ‘Right to Try’ Legislation

President Donald Trump was surprised Tuesday when a young Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy patient Jordan McLinn hugged him after signing “Right to Try” legislation passed by Congress.

McLinn and his parents joined the president for the signing ceremony for legislation that would allow terminally ill patients the right to seek drug treatments that have not been fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

“Today I’m proud to keep another promise to the American people as I sign the Right to Try legislation into law,” Trump said.

Scott Gottlieb, the Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, attended the event, noting that it took 3-10 years for federal approval for drugs, a process that he was working to speed up.

“This is the baby,” Trump said about the legislation praising members of Congress like Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) for pushing the bill forward in the Senate.

“He doesn’t stop, he doesn’t give up,” Trump said about Johnson.

The president noted that political figures had been pushing legislation for the right to try for 25 years, but that it never made it through.

Several American citizens currently fighting terminal illnesses and promoting the legislation joined the administration for the signing event. Trump expressed disappointment that some of the people present were seeking treatment in other countries because of restrictions in America.

“America has always been a nation of fighters who never give up,” Trump said, pointing to McLinn during the event. “This is very personal for me, as I proudly sign this bill, thousands of terminally ill Americans will have the help, the hope, and the fighting chance that they will be cured.”

North Korea has released three US detainees in the country, according to media reports, and it meets some of President Donald Trump demands for Pyongyang to demonstrate sincerity before the historic meeting between Trump and Kim Jong Un.

Kim Dong-cheol, Kim Sang-deok, and Kim Hak-seong — three US citizens detained in North Korea for years — have been released from a suspected labor camp and given health treatment and ideological education in Pyongyang, according to the Financial Times.

“We heard it through our sources in North Korea late last month. We believe that Mr Trump can take them back on the day of the US-North Korea summit or he can send an envoy to take them back to the US before the summit,” said Choi Sung-ryong, who campaigns for the release of detainees in North Korea.

The news follows Trump’s hawkish National Security Adviser, John Bolton, calling for the release of the detainees. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly spoke with Kim about the detainees during the pair’s secretive meeting in April.

Heritage Foundation Report:

Millennial Conservative notes Trump Accomplishments better for Black Community Issues than Democratic Party History of Racism

This Millennial Conservative Explains Why Trump’s Policies Are Better for Black Americans

Rob Bluey

Rob Bluey: How did you become a conservative?

Black Millennial Conservative Candace Owens

Candace Owens: I think for most people, watching Donald Trump run in 2016, something had to wake up inside of you. This is a man who was celebrated by the media. They could not get enough of Trump. You’re listening to rap and hip-hop music, they glorified him. Everyone wanted to end up at Mar-a-Lago. They said they were acting like Trump.

And then the second he won, he became a racist instantly. In that moment, I understood that racism was being used as a theme and a mechanism to control black Americans, and that the black community needed new leaders to sort of see them through that complete lie.

Democratic Party History of Racism

Bluey: You’ve made the case that Trump and his policies are better for the black community. Why is that?

Owens: Of course, our conservative policies are better for a black community. If you think of everything that we’ve gone through historically, it is because of Democratic policies that we are worse off today than we were 60 years ago.

For sure, no one would be foolish enough to say that America is a more racist country today than it was 60 years ago. So what happened? LBJ happened, the Great Society happened. Government dependency happened, welfare happened. All of this happened and came from the Democratic Party.

Bluey: When you’re talking to young people at Turning Point USA, what is your message to them?

Owens: My message to them is just that the time is now. President Trump represents the first opportunity for black Americans to get off of, what I refer to as, the ideological slave ship, to step outside of this line—this myth and this illusion—and to understand that we’ve had our power essentially stripped from us.

We continue to allow that by being afraid of racism, which is no longer an actual threat in this society for black Americans.

Bluey: You’re somebody who isn’t afraid to engage on Twitter or in the media. What gives you that courage to stand firm on these principles?

I’ve been really strong-minded from the time I was a little girl, and I hate being told what to think. So propaganda just doesn’t really work on me. I’m not afraid. It takes fearlessness.

You can’t be afraid to be referred to as a “coon” or an “Uncle Tom,” which, by the way, Uncle Tom, for people that actually read the book, was the hero of the novel. That term does not work.

It’s going to take people with some courage to step up and say, “You can call me whatever you want, this movement is happening. You can get on board or you can watch it.”

Bluey: We’re approaching in the next couple of weeks the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. How did MLK influence your life?

Owens: The most important thing to understand is that what he wanted was a society where people would not be judged by the color of their skin. Everything that the Democrats are advocating for is for us to only be judged by the color of our skin, by our sex, me as a black woman, they want me to constantly remember that.

You are black, you are a woman, and you cannot exist outside of that. So we need to understand that in many ways, we’ve gone backward from the themes that he was teaching when he gave his “I Have a Dream” speech.

His dream is being realized, but it’s not being realized by the Democratic Party right now.

Trump Restores the America Tocqueville Saw

Rush Limbaugh

Jean Yarbrough [article on Trump and Tocqueville] is saying that what really is happening here since Trump was inaugurated — it began during the campaign — is that Americans are once again demonstrating the capacity to govern themselves both directly and through elected representatives. In other words, Americans are now turning away from government as nanny, government as Santa Claus. Now, not everybody, obviously. There are still a lot of people that hate Trump.

But we’re talking about a trend here, and what Ms. Yarbrough is actually getting at is an explanation of why Trump is succeeding and why nobody can separate his supporters from him, and what that means in terms of what’s happening in America. It’s ultimately all good that Americans, a number of Americans (enough to win a presidential election) are turning away from the idea that every problem in life must be and can only be solved by government, that people are grabbing hold of their own lives again.

They are utilizing self-determination, which is causing a rising instance of confidence in a burgeoning number of Americans, a rising amount of satisfaction with their lives because there is much more control over those lives being exercised by people who are living them, as opposed to anointed administrative state people in bureaucracies in a far-away and distant capital. This is what she thinks is happening.

America Founded on Christianity

She writes, “Tocqueville had been struck by Americans’ love of country.” He hadn’t seen that anywhere else in the world: Love of country. As such, Tocqueville “would not be surprised by the appeal of Trump’s full-throated patriotism, especially when set against his critics’ championing of multiculturalism and globalization. For Tocqueville, national identity was bound up with religion, which, in the United States and in Europe, meant Christianity.”

Tocqueville said that that was the foundational base of the greatness of America — and don’t forget the First Amendment. People talk about freedom of speech and so forth. The freedom of religion clause is why our founders fled Europe. They were denied the ability to worship as they pleased. It’s why the Pilgrims came and began it all. And when America, as constituted began to grow with that as the foundation, there was no stopping its greatness.

Christianity an Obstacle to Democrat Goals

Because of the virtue and the morality that were contained inside of everyone’s religious beliefs. And this is what Tocqueville was literally blown away by. He had not seen it anywhere in the world. “Long before the 2016 presidential election, though, Democrats had clearly come to regard Christianity as an obstacle to their goals.” Now, why do you think that is? ‘Cause I think she’s right.

Why would Democrats think Christianity is an obstacle to their goals? Because it all relies on who is God. They want government to be God. That’s not an exaggeration. That’s not to be flippant. They will never say it. You have to ascertain this by looking at the way they live and what they consider to be inviolate. You cannot violate the tenets of climate change, for example. You cannot violate the tenets of much of their beliefs. Their beliefs are their religion. But Christians of course look to the God of creation, the God of the Bible.

So there’s a competing God, and the Democrats and leftists everywhere, not just in America, leftists everywhere, communists especially need to wipe out God, the God of the Bible, because there can only be one God, and that will be the state. The old Soviets had all kinds of games they played with young kids to prove there was no God. And one of the simplest things they would do in a class of a bunch of sixth graders or the equivalent, first graders, too, bring in two potted plants.

One of them they would ignore for a period of a week or so. The other they would water and nurture and care for, and they said the one they were ignoring they were leaving it up to God to protect and grow. And of course that flower, that plant died. It withered away. But the other potted plant grew and flowered and bloomed, and so the little kids were shown that there was no God. And if there was a God, look at how he didn’t care about that poor plant. If he didn’t care about that plant, he probably doesn’t care about me. But my state cares about that plant.

It was this kind of subtle and if that didn’t take, it wasn’t so subtle, psychological games that were played. And it’s always been one of the fundamental differences between — well, not always. The Democrat Party’s abrogation of God of the Bible is, in terms of our founding, somewhat recent. Meaning in the last 50 to 75 years.

“Trump’s campaign promise,” she writes here, “to ‘drain the swamp’ — by which he meant scaling back the administrative state that had risen up alongside America’s three constitutional branches of government — can be understood as an application of great-party principles. It represented an attempt to limit the power of government’s unaccountable, irremovable, and self-interested bureaucrats.”
