Establishment Media Cover-Ups in 2016

OPERATION SPIKE

Top 10 establishment-media cover-ups of 2016

World Net Daily’s annual review presents news that wasn’t ‘fit to print’

At the end of each year, many news organizations typically present their retrospective replays of what they consider to have been the top news stories of the previous 12 months.

WND’s editors, however, long have considered it more newsworthy to publicize the most underreported or unreported news events of the year.

WND Editor and CEO Joseph Farah has sponsored “Operation Spike” every year since 1988, and since founding WND in May 1997, has continued the annual tradition.

Here, with the contribution of WND readers, are the 2016 picks:

1. The contents of the Podesta emails:

media3-pr-obamamedia-bias4-obamaThe hacking of emails belonging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, certainly drew attention, with President Obama punishing Russia for the alleged act this week, without any hard evidence. Podesta, himself, declared the hacking of election-related emails the political equivalent of the 9/11 attack.

What was largely missing in establishment media coverage of the approximately 50,000 Podesta emails released by WikiLeaks, however, was the content of the messages. The emails shed light, for example, on Clinton campaign collusion with the media, pay-to-play schemes involving the Clinton Foundation when Clinton was secretary of state, Clinton’s profiting from Wall Street bankers and the DNC’s rigging of it primary at the expense of Bernie Sanders.

2. The true Obama economy:

debt-ceiling-obama-cartoonsPresident Obama repeatedly has boasted that he pulled the U.S. economy from the brink of depression and into robust growth, and Politico declared in December that Trump will inherit an “Obama boom,” handing his successor “an economy that’s now the envy of the world.”

But voters apparently thought otherwise, particularly the working class in the rust belt who flipped their Democratic-leaning states to Donald Trump. And there are economists who share their skepticism of the “Obama recovery.”

3. The doubling of the national debt under Obama

govwasteabounds.Perhaps the biggest symbol of Obama’s economic legacy is the national debt.

Currently at $19.9 trillion, it is projected to hit $20 trillion by Inauguration Day, up from $10.6 trillion when Obama entered the White House in 2009.

It means Obama will have added to the debt as much as all previous 43 presidents combined.

4. Illegal aliens’ impact on national presidential popular vote:

Thanks to A.F. Branco at Legal Insurrection for his brilliant cartoons

cartoon-vote-fraudShortly after the election, as the media was making hay of Hillary Clinton’s margin of more than 2 million in the national popular vote, Donald Trump tweeted that he won the popular vote as well as the Electoral College tally “if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally,” prompting a media uproar.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram insisted there “has been no evidence of the widespread voter fraud that would have had to taken place to give Clinton millions of illegitimate votes.”

But voter-integrity activists, who point out that 19 states did not require identification to vote Nov. 8, believe Trump may be right.

5. Obama’s stealth moves to force U.S. communities to receive Muslim immigrants

trojan-horse-isisObama’s “fundamental transformation” of America can be seen in the large numbers of Somali and Syrian refugees that have been planted against the will of the people in small-to-mid-sized cities such as Bowling Green, Kentucky; Owensboro, Kentucky; and Erie, Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, Minnesota and Ohio continue to be sent Somali refugees even though Minneapolis and Columbus have had terror recruitment problems within their Somali communities.

But Obama’s concentration of so many refugees in one place is a clear violation of statutes directing the Office of Refugee Resettlement to “insure that a refugee is not initially placed or resettled in an area highly impacted by the presence of refugees or comparable populations.”

Ann Corcoran, a leading refugee watchdog who authors the Refugee Resettlement Watch blog, believes the Obama administration and the federal resettlement contractors are deliberately trying to turn red states blue by injecting them with refugees who are likely to vote for Democrats.

“Of course it would take a while with refugee numbers, but add in the illegals, et cetera, in those states and, yes, it is about turning the state,” Corcoran said. “Consider it the California model – it worked there!”

6. Huma Abedin’s connection to the Muslim Brotherhood:

obama-muslim-brotherhood-infiltrateHillary Clinton’s longtime top aide and confidante Huma Abedin was a central figure in the 2016 presidential campaign, particularly as emails she sent and received while serving as Clinton’s deputy chief of staff for operations at the State Department came under the FBI’s scrutiny, culminating in a bombshell announcement by FBI Director James Comey 11 days before the election. Comey announced that the bureau had reopened its investigation of Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified information after discovering 650,000 of Abedin’s State Department emails on a computer owned by her estranged husband, Anthony Weiner, who is under investigation for allegedly sexting a minor.

But almost entirely ignored during the campaign by establishment media or dismissed as irrelevant were Abedin’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Saudi Arabia, including her position in her family’s institute, which was established by the Saudi government and supported by a prominent financial contributor to Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida.

7. The threat of ISIS and its Islamic roots

ObamaISISWhite-House-SummitWhite House spokesman Josh Earnest downplayed the war against ISIS, saying “in some ways, this is actually just a war of narratives” against a “poisonous, empty bankrupt mythology.”

That attitude was summarized by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, in the title of a Senate hearing he held in June, “Willful Blindness: Consequences of Agency Efforts To Deemphasize Radical Islam in Combating Terrorism,” in which former Department of Homeland Security officer Philip Haney testified that the administration “purged” more than 800 of his records related to the Muslim Brotherhood network in the U.S. because they somehow were an offense to Muslims.

8. The establishment media’s ‘fake news’:

media2-liesSo far there’s been no solid evidence that Russian “fake news,” as the establishment media seem to believe, propelled Donald Trump to an astonishing victory over Hillary Clinton.
But in recent decades, and this year is no exception, the establishment media itself has been shown to be a purveyor of fake news, defined as the dissemination of false information from the government or a favored group.

Familiar memes are: the Benghazi 9/11 attack that killed four brave Americans was caused by a YouTube video, Michael Brown had his hands up and shouted “Don’t shoot” before Ferguson cop Darren Wilson shot him and man-caused global warming is settled science.

9. Anti-Trump hoax incidents

media1-harmful-swallowedTo fuel its narrative that the election of Donald Trump had brought about unprecedented expressions of hatred toward minorities, the media breathlessly reported “hate crimes” purportedly committed by Trump supporters.
Many of those reports, however, turned out to be hoaxes, while actual crimes committed by anti-Trump rioters were virtually ignored.

NBC News reported an openly bisexual Chicago student claimed she received anti-gay, pro-Trump notes and emails after the election such as “Back to hell.” Taylor Volk of North Park University said she was a victim of “a countrywide epidemic all of a sudden.” But later, a university investigation found Volk had fabricated the messages.

10. Democrats’ rigging of their own primary to make sure Bernie Sanders lost

cartoon-hillary-bernie-nail cartoon-hillary-bernie-socialismAs columnist Ron Hart put it: “Democrats and the legacy media got all twitchy after losing the election, saying the Russians rigged it. WikiLeaks released DNC emails showing how the DNC plotted to undermine Bernie Sanders in their primary. So to recap, if I understand what the left is saying here, Putin might have rigged our election by revealing how Democrats rigged their election.”
In one email, DNC press secretary Mark Paustenbach wrote to communications director Luis Miranda about planting a narrative to the media that Sanders’ “campaign was a mess.”

In another email in early May, DNC Chief Financial Officer Brad Marshall brought up Sanders’ “Jewish heritage,” suggesting the DNC get someone in Kentucky and in West Virginia, which were holding upcoming primary elections, to ask if the candidate believes in God.

“He had skated on saying he has a Jewish heritage. I think I read he is an atheist. This could make several points difference with my peeps. My Southern Baptist peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and an atheist,” Marshall wrote.

DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz – who was forced to resign because of the revelations – wrote in May that Sanders “isn’t going to be president” and “has no understanding of” the Democratic Party.

Choosing Supreme Court Justices, Stopping Planned Parenthood, Voter Fraud

What One Woman Is Doing to Take Down Planned Parenthood

life-vs-abortionWhile Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, is celebrating its 100th anniversary Sunday, one organization is working tirelessly to put Planned Parenthood out of business.

CEO Brandi Swindell founded Stanton Healthcare in 2006. According to the Stanton Project’s website, it has branched out from a room in a doctor’s office to an international affiliate program.

Stanton Healthcare is a nonprofit medical facility that provides pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, client advocacy, and other life-affirming programs that respect the “dignity of both mother and child.”

“Planned Parenthood is coming up on their 100th anniversary and we are coming up on our 10th. We are looking to replace and outlast Planned Parenthood,” Swindell told The Daily Signal in a phone interview.

“I founded Stanton Healthcare in 2006,” said Swindell. “I have been doing pro-life work for 16 or 17 years and have worked on the national level and co-founded Generation Life.”

Here Are 3 New Cases of Voter Fraud. Governments Must Ensure Vote Integrity as Election Day Looms.

As Election Day looms large, Americans are as divided as ever on the future direction of the country and many of our most pressing issues.

One issue that ought to unite the country, however, is the need for election integrity. After all, it is through the ballot box that voters will select our local, state, and federal leaders. It is imperative that the vote accurately reflects the will of our citizens.

Many on the left, however, are unconcerned with the protection of each individual’s vote. They quickly dismiss voter fraud as a myth meant to justify voter suppression. Perhaps progressives are so quick to kill the debate because they know that the facts are not on their side.

Indeed, voter fraud is a very real and ongoing threat to the integrity of the political process, and The Heritage Foundation’s “Does Your Vote Count” project tracks this “nonexistent” problem. Today, we are adding 16 new confirmed convictions for voter fraud to our voter fraud database. That brings the count to over 430 criminal convictions for election fraud.

Missouri

voter-fraud2In North St. Louis, incumbent Penny Hubbard won the 2016 Democratic primary for Missouri’s 78th House District by 90 votes. Her challenger, Bruce Franks Jr., contested the results, citing a lopsided absentee vote tally that heavily favored Hubbard. Franks had carried the in-person vote.

District Judge Rex Burlison determined that a sufficient number of improper absentee ballots had been cast to change the results of the election, and ordered a second election. Franks won the redo by a margin of 1,533 votes.

North Carolina

Pasco Parker, a 63-year-old Tennessee resident, admitted to voting in three states during the 2012 federal election. He mailed in an absentee ballot to both Florida and North Carolina, and he voted in person in Tennessee.

Parker pleaded guilty to felony voting fraud and felony voter registration. He received a prison sentence of six to 17 months, and was ordered to complete 48 hours of community service. His prison time was later suspended in favor of 24 months of supervised probation.

Parker’s case speaks to the need for states to adopt policies meant to make it easier to identify duplicate voting and ensure those who do so are brought to justice. Most current state policies are inadequate; indeed, Parker’s fraud may well have gone undetected were it not for the investigatory efforts of a North Carolina volunteer voting watchdog group, the Voter Integrity Project.

Kentucky

voter-fraudMagoffin County Magistrate Gary Risner, Deputy County Clerk Larry Shepherd, and Tami Jo Risner (Gary Risner’s ex-wife) were convicted of felony voter fraud for a vote buying scheme to boost a host of candidates in the 2014 election.

An accomplice, Scotty L. McCarty, was also charged, but pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and ultimately testified against the others.

McCarty revealed that the group had participated in vote buying conspiracies in several elections dating back to 2010. He testified that Shepherd contributed $10,000 and Tami Jo Risner contributed $2,000 to the vote buying operation, paying individuals $50 apiece to vote for their slate of candidates.

Shepherd also revealed that in a 2010 election, while acting as a precinct officer, he added 60 votes to the total for a candidate and Tami Jo Risner signed the names of those who hadn’t voted to cover the discrepancy.

The Magoffin fraudsters will be sentenced in December. They each face a potential five-year prison sentence.

The right to vote is essential to the American system of government. Consequently, election integrity must be preserved to ensure that every legitimate vote counts, and that our elections accurately reflect the will of the citizenry. But before government at all levels can remedy the problem of voter fraud, politicians must first acknowledge that it exists.

Heritage’s report, “Does Your Vote Count,” discusses the history of, reasons for, and myths about voter fraud. It also suggests practical, commonsense changes that will both protect American elections while encouraging all eligible voters to register and cast their ballots.

As shown in the Missouri 78th House District case, and many other cases in our database, voter fraud can drastically influence the outcome of elections and usurp the will of the people. It’s a serious problem that deserves a serious solution.

Supreme Court: One vote matters

A single Supreme Court justice can uphold or trample the Constitution

Heritage Youtube on SCOTUS justices

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

supreme-courtIt doesn’t always come down to one vote.

Look back at some of the most notable U.S. Supreme Court decisions, and you find some of the best were decided by an overwhelming majority.

Brown v. Board of Education, which outlawed racial segregation in public schools, was unanimous, in fact. So was NLRB v. Noel Canning, which reinforced the fact that a president cannot make recess appointments when the Senate is in session.

Some of the worst, too, were similarly lopsided. Plessy v. Ferguson, a pre-Brown case that allowed segregated public facilities, was decided by a 7-1 vote. The infamous Roe v. Wade, which struck down state laws outlawing abortion, was 7-2.

The Zombie Voter Apocalypse: California Refuses to Admit Its Voter Fraud Problem

Hans von Spakovsky

Jana Minich

vote-fraud2Hollywood has always loved making films about the walking dead, but in Southern California it appears they have a real life problem with “zombie” voters.

An investigation by CBSLA2 and KCAL9 found that hundreds of deceased persons are still on voter registration rolls in the area, and that many of these names have been voting for years in Los Angeles.

Julita Abutin, died in 2006 but voted in 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014.

For example, John Cenkner died in 2003, according to Social Security Administration records, yet he voted in the 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010 elections. His daughter told the station that she was “astounded” and couldn’t “understand how anybody” could get

CBS reports that California is the only state that does not comply with the Help America Vote Act of 2002, something the Obama administration has basically ignored.

Another voter, Julita Abutin, died in 2006 but voted in 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014. According to CBS, the county confirmed they have “signed vote-by-mail envelopes” from Abutin since she passed away. So either someone has been forging her signature or her ghost has quite an earthly presence.

The investigation revealed that 265 deceased persons voted in Southern California, 215 of them in Los Angeles County. Thirty-two were repeat voters, with eight posthumously-cast ballots each. One woman who died in 1988 has been voting for 26 years, including in the 2014 election.

vote-fraud1This report comes 20 years after the contested election of Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Calif., from this same area. An investigation by a U.S. House committee found that hundreds of illegal ballots were cast by noncitizens and improper absentee ballots.

In that 1996 election, when she defeated incumbent Bob Dornan, a winning margin of 979 votes was whittled down to only 35 votes or fewer when that voter fraud was factored in. In cases like these, where elections are decided by only a small number of votes, the harmful effects of voter fraud are most obvious.

Yet here, two decades later, California has still not taken the necessary steps to ensure the reliability of its electoral system.

As a result of the investigation, Los Angeles County supervisors called for an investigation into the findings. Even if these particular zombie voters did not change the outcome of an election, each fraudulently cast ballot stole and diluted the vote of a legitimate voter.

Cases like these and many others show that voter fraud is a real phenomenon and a potential threat to the integrity of the election process.

liesThe Los Angeles County Registrar pointed to the 1200 to 2000 voter registrations removed every month to update records and told reporters, “There’s really no way to connect a person whose death is recorded with a person who is registered to vote unless we get some kind of notification from the family.”

But that is plain nonsense. Other states do frequent comparisons between their voter registration lists and the death databases maintained by the Social Security Administration, and other state agencies consult vital records departments in order to remove voters who have died.

The CBS investigation shows both that voter fraud exists and that this type of fraudulent voting is detectable through proper investigation.

CBS reports that California is the only state that does not comply with the Help America Vote Act of 2002, something the Obama administration has basically ignored.

The Help America Vote Act establishes mandatory minimum standards of accuracy for state voter registration lists and requires states to engage in regular maintenance and updates to remove ineligible voters who die or move away.

California is obviously not complying with these requirements.

Obama and Liberal Voter Fraud

Surprised? Liberals are convicted of Voter Fraud

Obama Officials Convicted of Voter Fraud

But liberals say we don’t need ID’s since there is no fraud.
Check it out:

voter placing ballotWhy is it only Democrats deal in voter fraud, when it’s they who say it never happens? If this story does not convinced you the entire nation needs strict voter ID laws, nothing will.

Two Democratic officials from Indiana have been arrested and convicted of ballot fraud, because Obama truly wasn’t eligible to be on the ballot. They knew it, but they went ahead with it. If you think something was funky about the 2008 and 21012 elections, here’s a little insight:

indianaballotfraudChairman Butch Morgan Jr. from St. Joseph County was convicted of felony conspiracy to commit petition fraud and forgery. Dustin Blyth, who served on the Board of Elections, was charged with felony forgery and several counts of making a false petition. Both men were charged and convicted for submitting fake names and signatures on petitions that were designed to get Obama and Hillary Clinton onto the 2008 primary ballots.

President Obama and Voter Fraud

President Obama and the Massive Voter Fraud Machine
From Political Outcast

voter placing ballot

CORRECTION: After further consideration, it might be helpful to recount for Allen West, but pointless for the national recount. Evidence of massive voter fraud is very convincing, but a recount would only entail further fraud; the corruption is so widespread. All we can do is try to preserve the principles of the Constitution by teaching our families the truth. ~C.A. Davidson

We must know if the election was stolen. If we do nothing, we might as well tell our children that we didn’t care about their freedom, because there will be nothing left of this country long before the next four years under Obama are over.
Republicans should demand a recount in every state before Obama can be sworn in.

by Tad  Cronn
A funny thing is happening after Democrats thought they won the elections. Not only are there rampant stories of voter fraud, but it appears that this time, oddly enough, some people seem inclined to do something about it.

Congressman Allen West is demanding a complete recount of ballots in his 18th Congressional District race, which Democrat Patrick Murphy claims to have won.

A partial recount over the weekend had West losing by 1,907 votes. West actually lost 132 votes in that recount, but his opponent somehow “lost” 667. Apparently, a large number of “vapor ballots” have been floating around, and there are a lot of irregularities coming out of St. Lucie County, where voters actually protested outside the elections supervisor’s office to demand an accurate count.

According to West’s people, nearly a 1,000 ballots have vanished from St. Lucie County, and they hope a complete recount might swing in West’s favor.

Suspicions were first aroused on Election Night, when at around 1 a.m. West was ahead by 1,700 votes, then with no explanation, 4,000 votes came in at one time and he was suddenly trailing by 2,000.
On the national front, there have been widespread stories of electronic voting machines switching votes for Mitt Romney to votes for Barack Obama. The reports began with early voting in some states and continued through Election Day.

Now, a Chicago technician named Steve Pickrum, who worked for the election supervisor, is saying that when he was called to service some voting machines on Election Day, he observed that the machines were not counting votes for  Romney.

“On early voting, when I did work on the floor when voters needed help using the equipment, I was able to see the preference of the voter, and every time that I saw a voter voted for Romney, a ‘voter save failure’ message came up on the screen,” he said.

He also said when he went to vote, he got the same error message and told a poll worker, who replied that he should just assume his vote was counted. He demanded that the worker check the vote record, and his vote had not been recorded.

Pickrum said he never saw the error occur when someone voted for Obama.

A poll watcher in Pennsylvania reported that up to 10 percent of the ballots observed reverted to a “default,” which automatically gave the vote to Obama, no matter who the voter cast a ballot for.
Pennsylvania is the state where Obama got 100 percent of the vote in 59 voting divisions. Pennsylvania on Election Day also had reports of GOP poll observers being locked out of polling places by Democrats.
Similarly in Ohio, one of the battleground states, 100 precincts reported that Obama got an improbable 99 percent of the vote.

Auditor Robert Ashcroft said on Election Night, he observed that the polling software would switch to a default for Obama in about 5 to 10 percent of cases. He questioned how pre-election polls showed Obama and Romney virtually tied, but then on Election Day, Obama got a huge groundswell of support.
According to an analysis by World Net Daily, Obama also recorded much larger margins of support in states that do not require voter ID than he did in states that check voter identification.

Readers may recall the rumors months before the election that voting machines were being supplied by a foreign company owned by George Soros. Those stories were hotly denied by liberal bloggers and sites like Snopes.com and Huffington Post, which themselves have ties to the conservative-hating multibillionaire.

Considering the information now coming out about the voting machines, perhaps the liberal media doth protest too much?
